So I read on the guide that you can't give him a gift while he is working, but I have been giving him a gift every day for the past two ingame weeks and he has been taking them. Is it just me? I know Iris wont take stuff when eating or writing though... And she keeps leaving town for a while...

I read that as well! Same here though! I've been giving gifts to mistel for a couple in game weeks as well while he is working, but he still takes them. Same goes for Raegar

Same here! For the first few days, I waited until his shop closed, but then I was like "Well, what the heck, let's just try giving him something." Since I'm going for the reverse confession, I've been alternating butterflies and weeds. He doesn't seem too pleased about the weeds, but they don't show up anywhere in his likes or dislikes, so I had assumed that they're a neutral gift. Still waiting for the white heart event to trigger, but I'm only on spring 18.
So far, I've been able to gift to the other shopkeepers too. I wonder if that's something that changed from the JP version?

So certain people you can give gifts to, while they are working and certain ones you can't... Also I have never seen Mistel eat. Does he eat?

Most likely what it was is when I went to give him a gift, i had not talked to him for a long time, so he told me he was busy. So I incorrectly assumed that meant I would have to wait.
I fixed it on the site. Thank you.
