arg, mine does this too. Except I don't bother pushing my animals outside, so it's nowhere near as bad, but the first couple of times it happened, I heard the noise, and went to see what was going on, and the gate was open but the cat was NOWHERE IN SIGHT, I was half-convinced that my farm was haunted.Lieicent wrote:Why is my cat an « Mr.Gourmet's hat »? The fence gates look so nice, but lo and behold I can't use them because the cat keeps opening them and letting my animals out...

I just leave my animals outside so it's a thing for me. It wouldn't be that bad if the gates actually closed but no, ghost cats and horses running around opening them.KitchenWhisk wrote:arg, mine does this too. I can't say that to much bugs me in the game, what was designed wise. Military time is fine, pitchfork issue I got over. I can only think of two minor things that I agree with. The six letter restriction, why six? That was barely enough to fight my name - which is six letters. However, what of people that have longer names. I feel bad for them. As well coming up with catchy names for things in six letters can become a chore sometimes.... or just makes me pick unimaginative names.
The second is more so with the hardware, the frame rate in some areas... my word. I never played ANB which sounds like it had this issue, so I was unprepared. I mean I'm accustomed to it already now, but those first few hours - I was wondering if I would truly be able to stick with the game. However, the pluses of the game have outweighed these minor flaws immensely.

I've never had stress pile up too much when waiting for the trader/getting materials for the Pitchfork. Even in Veteran mode. I'll put my cow outside for it to relax a bit and voila!Beedlebud wrote:The pitchfork thing. I know about the blueprint, but it takes you far too long to get the materials for it since you have to either a) dive for it and hope you get lucky or b) buy it, which is dependent on when the trader comes in. The dirt piles up far too fast in relation to it. It's a pretty important item for them to just make it so cumbersome to get.
As for my annoyances, I think the main thing that made me think a bit isn't a problem with mechanics so much as the fact that you can swim while it's raining. I wouldn't think that's safe.
It's autumn and I still haven't hit Fritz's white flower event. I hit Mistel's purple event first and then I couldn't trigger Fritz's white. And every other Wednesday it was raining
Black Lumber
Stamina loss (I have so many fieldsss)
Missing variation in music between maps (though I do like how the night music is different)
Requirements for the last two vendors
How I can't preview the clothes and blueprints until I've made them and they're in the closet or inventory... How am I supposed to know what I'm making?
Iris is almost always sitting at her table writing (and I can't give her gifts uhghhgh)
Expanding the Safari... why in the world are the requirements so crazy?? And then so far just one expansion is insane, what about all the others D:
Animals unlock slowly
Just one mining spot... so frustrating
How the animals are constantly making noise. I mean, I don't mind it after I've made them happy but they're always making noise now and idk it bothers me XD

This annoys me too. In ANB, you were usually given at least a couple of seasons' notice before the festival actually happened, which allowed you to easily win the beginner category, at the very least.PedroTheChicken wrote:I thought of something else that irritates me. The fact that most of the animal festivals happen only a short while after you unlock that animal so you dont even really have a chance at winning it. :/
This, too. I wear them in real life, and if I'm given the opportunity, I make my in-game characters wear them, too. My characters in Harvest Moon: Animal Parade, Fantasy Life, and Animal Crossing all wear glasses.Blue Leafeon wrote:Glasses.
Excuse me, Marvelous. Some of us actually wear glasses because we NEED them. We don't wear glasses "for fashion." My character has been wearing glasses this whole time and people are still like "Are those glasses fake?" "Are you wearing them for fashion?" "Since when have you wore glasses?" Um. FYI game, my character actually needs those, kthx.
I like to assume Raina (my character in this game) wore contacts when she lived in the city, but decided to switch to wearing glasses when she moved to Oak Tree Town, since glasses seem to be more fashionable there. So to any NPCs who ask me if these glasses are fake – no, they aren't.
This is just my opinion, but I don't like how you can change your skin color and face style any time you want. I mean, you can't really do that in real life, so I don't think it's very realistic. At least with eye color, I can pretend you put in colored contact lens... Of course, it's just a MINOR annoyance, as I just don't change those things when I go to the closet!

Would you rather get this dialogue every time?Blue Leafeon wrote:Glasses.

(though granted, he does still ask if you need them. blegh)
