Yeah, I remember the good old days where we can sit in the mines for hours and hammer away without limitations until we either run out of food or stamina. And buying the actual items instead of buying the blueprints, then gather the materials and make it. It causes us to invest longer hours into the game and actually work for the things we want. It's amusing to an extend, but I wonder how much more complexity will future games come.

I know, right? There are 255 floors in the S.I. mine and we could dig for coins, extinguish lava, and break rocks on 1 floor for HOURS and no time would go by! We just work in the mine until we drop, run out of food or break a thumb. XD And what about those wonderful Wonderfuls? I remember I get a million G's and then just have Gannon make stuff. Nowadays, we gotta buy the blueprint, collect materials and we have limited time for mining!(Especially in SoS.) Grern Wonderfuls... those were awesomeness.

I just reached Summer. If the effect is so much less worse than Winter's I am dreading that season. Summer is bad enough! Okay, I get it, stop tinting everything blue and enough with the sunglares! (And I thought Spring's "let's throw tons of « Cow Poopoo » on the screen to make catching bugs harder + tint everything orange" was bad!)
I really hope none of these seasonal overlay effects make it into the next game; they are just awful.

I don't understand the fashion festival. I just don't. It took me three more tries to win.KitchenWhisk wrote:I lost against Mistel, I won against Mistel, NPCs beat Elise and Iris, it was a madhouse. And that wouldn't explain why I got a different evaluation each time.Melody Muse wrote:If it's like the Harvest Festival, what matters is who you face as much as what you enter. (According to Cher's guide, the faceless NPCs and Fritz and Eda are the easiest to beat.) So I imagine that it is similar for the fashion festival? Just a guess as I haven't unlocked it yet either.KitchenWhisk wrote:I HATE THE FASHION FESTIVAL.lostsongs wrote:So I've lost the fashion fall/winter first year 7 times, even though my combination is "beautiful."
I have come in second place every time. I want to scream!
I won the year3 spring one on my first try, but got a terrible prize, so I reset, no biggie, right?
I entered the EXACT. SAME. OUTFIT. on the EXACT. SAME. MODEL. over and over again, and didn't manage to win for another TWO HOURS. And that terrible judge man gave the EXACT. SAME. OUTFIT. a different rating/comment every time. I literally got everything from "Capital A for Art!", to "eccentric, but pulls it off", to "what were you thinking that looks awful", to very specific comments talking about the particular items I was wearing and how they match other particular items I was wearing, ALL FOR THE SAME EXACT OUTFIT.
I'm pretty sure I will never get those festival prize patterns T_T
Fritz was a guaranteed last place, so at least there was some constant.
So, the judge said different comments about the same outfit I wore too. He said it was interesting one time then awful the next. One of the NPCs beat Marian, Elise, and myself.
I think that part of the problem is that the comments don't necessarily correlate to the scores. I got what I thought was a "meh" level comment for a fashion show and someone else's was "pure art" and yet I won. The judge liked that my accessories matched secondary colors in my main outfit. The theme was blue, my outfit had a red accent, and he mentioned liking my "matching" red ring.lostsongs wrote:So, the judge said different comments about the same outfit I wore too. I swear this thing is very RNGed/luck based with some player control (like having the outfit fit the theme). Still, it's interesting that I never got anything lower than second place. Maybe I'll do some testing the next fashion festival.
I have no idea how these things are scored though.
I am super annoyed with the vague combination hints on the television. I have been making flower pots and I just saw on the forums that it is probably actually flower beds.
Killifish rule the rivers. I don't know how many times I reset because of getting a ton of them.Judgment wrote:More of a huge annoyance than a minor one, but... Killifish. Get out of this river. I am trying to make cash money and/or grill fish. ಠ_ಠ

Aww.. I actually kinda liked the sunny glare effect. Makes me feel the heat of summer... or maybe since it's really hot where I live..
What annoys me is that they spend a week to teach me simple basic things like "how to pick up items" and "how to tend farm" that we as experienced HM players should know by now. But spend next to nothing to explain the new aspect of the game like conquest and simply expects us to read it from the bookshelf.
I ended up picking the "amount of shipment in a day" competition and had my feelings crushed when I saw how far I was from winning. (Elise won with 600+, mine was 300+) ... can't they make it a little bit easier for my first ever conquest? Sheesh... there goes my honeyed plans.

my wedding was on a sunday, which meant I missed the best tv show (the interview one), which has yet to repeat in three years, so who knows when that particular episode will show up again, so I probably missed it for good T_T
If anyone is anywhere near Summer 2 year 3, I would love you forever if you summarized it or something. It's seriously the best part of my in-game week T_T

OMG THIS X1000000. Literally just now, the first time I entered I won but then reset to try for a different prize and I GOT 3RD PLACE WITH THE SAME OUTFIT. Still trying to win 1st place again
