I'm on the 5th day of winter year 1, and it has snowed every single day so far.

please, game, i just want to get nadi :(

edit: Day 6 now. Still snowing.
That happened to me, too! Gah, I almost forgot how annoying that was. Stupid weather.
It's now day 7... and it's still snowing.

I think my game is trying to reenact this past winter in the northeastern part of the states.

I just turned it off lmao...one more tedious replayed tutorial day...at least I save every night!

Everyone says they prefer people walking as opposed to teleporting...but I've thrown gifts on the ground by accident a lot already, which is a minor annoyance...

I know I oughta save 5 turnip seeds and collect iron for a pitchfork and bricks and weeds...I also know to befriend my rivals quickly...anything else I should be aware of so I don't face any unnecessary annoyances?
The gifting thing is super frustrating! I've had the best luck trying to cut them off, and stand right in front of them. Their tracking AI isn't too great, and they tend to just walk into you for a little bit, haha.

As far as other tips... Hm. These probably aren't too helpful, but eat at Raeger's everyday that you can~ Even if you just buy the cheapest dish, they give you 2 hearts of stamina back, if I recall correctly. Also, if you're okay with doing it, you can save before doing things like diving and reload until you get items you want. :)

I don't know if anyone has been annoyed with this, but I really, really miss being able to upgrade your tools more than just once or twice.

I'm currently in Fall of year 1 and I have not only my regular crops on my farm, but the spice and root crop fields to worry about. Nearly everyday I have to make multiple trips to Raeger's (or use my own crops and make quick dishes, but I try to avoid it since I want to SELL, not eat) with how much stamina is lost using all the tools I use. With the water-twice-a-day mechanic AND the fact that planting seeds and fertilizer can never use less stamina, « Cow Poopoo »'s really hard! :x

I still haven't even cleared out the trees and rocks on my farm, even though I upgraded both the axe and hammer. I'm sure I'll get used to it but it's really hard to juggle everything without fainting everyday.

The only other complaint would probably be distance from my farm to the town/trade depot. My horse helps but even then with the issue stated above I have like no time to really interact with villagers or trade unless the villagers come near my farm.

tools can be upgraded at least three times. it depends what tool it is. there are only a few upgrades for animal related tools, the hammer, and the axe, but there are several for the watering can etc.

Not only do you have to wait until Summer Year 2 to get the dogs, they start out completely useless until you train them. Which means you have to waste time every morning hunting down the idiot slackers to use the whistle (I once looked fruitlessly for FIVE HOURS, at which point the game sweetly informed me it was now too freaking late to train it. Then there are the lovely occasions where the dogs bring an animal out, but fail to herd it back in for whatever reason. Why oh why does this game feel an obsessive need to make very simple things excessively complicated and time-consuming? On top of that, the fact that the animals are outside now means putting up with all that noise pollution while I'm running around on the farm. I have never hated animals in a game the way I do in SoS x_< If it wasn't for the fact I need their products for stuff I would sell every danged one off in a heartbeat and dance for joy.

Why.

Are there so many.

Animals?!

Shiva wept, this is getting ridiculous. I mean, I like one or two new animals, but they dump what.... five different kinds of new critters on you?

NGL I am glad they spaced it out, but Christ on a cantrip, there is such a thing as TOO MUCH.

Yeah, there are a lot. I'm annoyed when they all pile up in one spot outside and my Alpacas get in the way of my care for the other animals.

I really don't understand the idea of the stalker animals. Like... I get that you like me. Now go away. Who thought that was a fun idea?

While I agree it is kind of annoying, I kind of like the animals following you. (I just wish it wasn't all the time.) But that might be because I only keep 1-2 of each animal. It reminds me of this cow my neighbors had when I was in high school. Everyday when I would walk home from the bus stop, I would walk by his pasture and he was so docile/spoiled that he would trot over and want me to scratch his head. He was like a dog! :D

I agree with this... I don't need 2 different kinds of cows, sheep, chickens, etc...

I mean, it's alright, the variety is cool, but damn I hate having to collect all the different types of wool AND wool+ just to make the clothes I want. There are SO many different types of cloth that thinking about it makes my brain want to shut down.

Also... a camel? What? There are many animals I can think of to put on a farm before a camel...

This. The fact that you can't keep 1 HQ & 1 NQ of each animal on one side is ridiculous too.

Man I feel so stupid..so I hovered at fodder in the storage box..pressing Y coz I thought it would only merge fodder. Then when I checked "ship requested items" at Cabin Country, I found that I have enough 3 stars (or was it 2.5 stars? Whatever) 50 orange cloths to ship. It's pretty weird coz last time I checked I only have 21.

Then I checked my storage box again and realized IT MERGED ALL THE ITEMS IN THE BOX. My white rose flower!! The star quality has been averaged. Iirc it was 3* now it is 2*. I didn't convert it to seed yet. Thank goodness I converted all the other flowers to seed though. It's ridiculous that you can't pick which item to merge

Though thanks to that...now I know the quicker way to reach the blue vendor's request requirements for clothes blueprint lol

When you buy a wool-producing animal, you should save right before, then reset to get the personality you want. Some of them (like cowardly sheep) will randomly produce wool+ at high heart levels without ever having been to the safari. If you're feeling impatient, you can even save-scum shearing to get the + product for your clothes. That way you only need one of each animal.

What would have been nice is if they allowed you to use the wool interchangeably, so that you only really needed to buy the kind of animal you like, or make there be some kind of benefit like shorter sheering cycle, or more product to begin with, so that you could make all the clothes from whatever animal you wanted, but there's still a benefit to the ones that unlock later.

As far as the camel,
Spoiler:
given the teacup maker sheds and ferris wheel greenhouse, I think they are going for a carnival/petting zoo type of thing.

I can't dive under the bridge when it rains. No matter the season, date, time. Anything.
MAJOR annoyance.
