cow during tutorial week

sooo even though I'm a veteran I'm an eejit cuz I kinda forgot about watering the turnips every day & all that (still haven't gotten past tutorial) & so on my seedling file I'm gonna remember to water them! but was jw after the cow tutorial do I need to push it back into the barn or will it go back inside by itself since tutorial week & then once I get my own farm will I have to push into the barn?

Once you get your farm, for the time being you will have to push your cow in and out of the barn.

You only need to push your own animals into the barn. Animals belonging to other farmers will be taken care of by them. Once you unlock dogs (summer of year 2, I think) they can help you getting your animals in and out the barn.

You get your own farm the day after the cow tutorial. Once you upgrade your house you will get a cow and then you start taking care of it.
