It's mentioned that you adopt children with them in the epilogue but as far as I know you do not have children with them in the main campaign. In other words, no Eponine with Zero and no Kanna for either.

you got the kids right off the bat as if they produced the kids naturally. I don't mind if they were adopted right at the end, but now I'm hearing two different versions on how Kanna and Eponine are obtained.

They a blood born from m/f and f/m. For s/s pairs you get an epilogue saying that you and them ended up adopting children.
But we still get the child units at the end of the game, correct? As happy as I am having s/s marriage in the game I'd rather not go through it if I can't get Kanna and Eponine.

Just...ugh. Ugh @ everything right now, orz. Hoping for DLC/them being available in maybe the third game or something (especially if the data people are seeing is an old model and may not be the complete version that is gonna be sent out.

I wasn't heavily interested in Zero, but now I'm conflicted if I should even go for Shara as Fem!Corrin. Except for the numbers that Fates has sold I'm a bit depressed; I'm disappointed in IS's decision, but it could have been worse; Shara and Zero could have stayed heterosexual.
I read a description on her that Zero stopped her and seemingly adopted her right on the spot and Kanna is like Morgan; they're from a different universe parallel to the other children.

Idk what I'm going to do, cause I really wanted to enjoy Zero as my same « Chicken Hugging » romance option...but I feel like it might make more sense just to go as a female cause you get worth more for the effort and just...ughhhh.

Éponine is the daughter of Zero. Though she is cool and collected with a good intellect, she also has dubious delusions.
In her paralogue, an old man asks Silas and Zero to help him protect his mansion, as it contains valuable Nohrian artifacts and items that a gang of thieves are planning to steal. Zero catches one of the thieves entering the mansion, and is shocked when the thief is his daughter, Éponine. Despite his attempts to tell her to cancel the heist, she refuses to and leaves for her group. After defeating her group, she tries to escape but is caught by Zero, and after a short conversation, joins the army.
Also doesn't help that sentences like these are floating around, hence my confusion:
