Not sure about the Nohr side, but on the Hoshido side, both Izana and Yukimura join after defeating skirmishes (random on map battles).

Nobody knows yet if its a certain amount or type that have to be defeated, but they'll show up at the castle (My Castle) post battle and just join. Ive personally gotten Izana, but for the life of me can't figure out how to unlock Yukimura.

Ah, thank you! I can't wait to marry Izana in all routes. hehe!

For some reason he jumped to the top of my favorite list when I saw him, he's just so precious and his amie lines are even cuter!

I was also surprised at how much of a goofball he was since he looked the total opposite of one, lol.

He is the same for all three routes. As in random chance to get him in a random encounter.

Hoshido:
Female: Nishiki
Female: Takumi or Subaki (depending on how they translate Takumi)
Male: Crimson or setsuna

Nohr
Female: Fannel
Female: Leo or kaze (depending on how they translate Leo)
Male: Nyx

Third
Female: Joker
Female: Izana or Lazward
Male: Aqua

I'm narrowing my choices down as well, but it's still not 100% guaranteed.

Hoshido:
File 1: Grey
File 2: Shara (Female)
File 3: Hinoka

Nohr:
File 1: Camilla
File 2: Flora
File 3: Flannel

Neutral:
File 1: Jakob
File 2: Kaze
File 3: Asura

I also want to go after Nyx still, but at least I've narrowed it down to 10...I think? I'm still somewhat blind with the game, but Dia looks adorable the more I look at him and Kagerou, Saizou, and some others are still in the air and after reading some supports/aime dialogue people like Charlotte and Izana are now in the running when they weren't before.

I think I've figured out who I want to romance for my files~ I think my Hoshido bias is showing.

Hoshido:
1. Takumi
2. Ryouma
3. Saizou

Nohr:
1. Odin
2. Benoit
3. Harold or Zero. Probably Harold.

Neutral:
1. Kaze
2. Hinata
3. Izana orrrr Nishiki

Of course this is all subject to change at any time. The exception being the number one spots of Hoshido and Nohr. I'm not including children the first three times around in any playthrough 'cause that's a whole other can of worms to open, lest my heart be torn apart~ And I'll probably play as a guy...eventually. If I ever get around to it.

Oh man, I'm really looking forward to the English dub. It might affect my poor list. Even if I play it in JP voices, the ENG voices might get stuck in my head. I'm scared for Harold. lol

Nohr exclusivities choices: Gunther and Harold. Also, maybe Benoit and Ignis.

Hoshido exclusives: Asama, Yukimura and maybe Shinonome because the kid is growing on me.

Both sides: Asura because his supports and Amiie lines.

3rd Path, i'm totally going for Fuuga because you can and HAVE YOU SEEN HIS BOD? I COULD GRATE CHEESE ON THOSE ABS. I'm actually surprised his supports and Amiie dialouge hasn't surfaced yet.

As for the females....the only one that interests me is Anna and i'm being 100% honest. In my current file, I just chose Midoriko because I couldn't obtain her on my first play through. Zero of the Hoshido and Nohr chicks really interest me, especially the Hoshido girls now that ive gotten to know them quite a bit.

I don't mean to derail the conversation from waifus and husbandos in a negative way, I've got my own top 3 characters. I'm really concerned about the rating this game is going to get.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have any problems with "M" rated games in general, but I don't like the idea of Fire Emblem of all series going down that road. D=

What gets me is that I see people online actually cheering for an "M" rating. In the end the ESRB/PEGI and NoA/NoE are going to do what they do, but I really hope Fire Emblem doesn't start trending an "M". I simply don't see it as a positive thing for a series that I don't think ever needed it.

I'm hoping that Fates will end up as a solid "T", and that'll be the end of that for a while.
