Most people (like me) would rather a M rating because we'd rather have things not censored, than things changed and dumbed down for them trying to gain a T rating. So I'm going to have to disagree, and that if the game warrants an M rating, I hope it gets an M rating. If it doesn't, then no sweat, but I really honestly don't see it personally as a big deal either way.

I found through the comments of that YouTube video an imgur picture with a description of what actually happened as well if people want to read it. It's here. I'm sure it should go without saying, but there are some light spoilers on it regarding Soleil.

I don't care what rating the game gets, but I do want things to stay as they are. So if the game becomes M, but everything stays intact I won't mind.

I don't want any censoring. If the game warrants and M-rating then so be it, but no censoring for me, please.

I think pretty much the same as everyone else. I don't like censoring at all, even if it's something I don't like. Original all the way. I just don't see certain things staying if it gets a T rating.

That's the argument I try to avoid because it's not the point I'm trying to make. To me censorship the of foreign games is a subjective topic, and we're most likely going to have to agree to disagree.

I'm hoping that the content, regardless of censorship, makes a "T" rating. CERO C is capable of it overseas, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's seen it. What I'm concerned about is that Fire Emblem will keep pushing the limit of "mature" content for the sake of it because of Fates. Like I said, I don't think it ever needed to do that.

I've been concerned ever since Fates was shown as more mature. My reaction: "Okay, in what way and why?"

Talking about Fire Emblem, fanservice is fine in doses, but where's the limit? Violence in a war game is expected, but where do you stop? (I'm being somewhat rhetorical here.)

I'm aware that I'm bringing up something just as subjective as "censorship due to localization", but it still bothers me. I'll have to wait and see I guess.

It is taking every inch of my being to not buy the Nohr side onto my digital copy.

Well, it lets you play through your decision and then once the battle is over, it prompts you for payment. Its exactly 2,000 Yen, which I can totes afford, but I should hold off until I buy all of my needs. I'm probably going to do it because July is a drought for video games for me until the end of the month.

Ima' start divvying out my funds and see whats left.

Can't wait to hear how nohr goes as well, hey does anyone know when the DLC of the third route will come out? (if it's not out already?)

Maybe I'm being selfish, or reacting too many to spoilers. I'm just hoping that what I'm seeing isn't the beginning of a bad trend. I'm sorry if I came out too strong or too off topic, but this is something I do feel strongly about since I've enjoyed this series for a long time.

Perhaps this was a bad idea to post about since I've been reading about other discussion sites blowing up elsewhere, but oh well. I'm ending my part in the attempt at a discussion here.

No no, I think it was a good discussion; most of us just aren't worried about the rating. It's IS's project and whatever we get we get. Some of us prefer that there be no censorship in any form of media because, in my opinion, it goes against the creators' vision they had for their game and if it bumps up the rating so be it and there are some like you who would wish that the game retain it's T rating and that's fine too; everyone has a different opinion.

Regardless of what Nintendo does with the English version of the game we're all going to have a fun time.

Well, the topics about possible ratings/the fanservice in and of itself has (as you had just mentioned) been discussed to death already, and a good number on the forum (myself included) have already seen and possibly responded to such questions already. In such cases like that, there isn't really a reason to repeat your stance on the matter if it has already been said. As of right now, I think a number of fans' are overreacting to the features in Fire Emblem Fates (many which are optional) due to overhype and it isn't really worth trying to state a view when people are in the high-tension mode.

Personally I don't care what rating it gets as long as it doesn't get censored. The more suggestive moments I've seen in the game have only been during the Fire Emblem Amie S-ranked with some of the characters, but in those cases, the main character is lovers with them so it makes sense. I can't see how it would need a 'M' rating, but itf that's what it takes for it not to be censored, I'm fine with it. Though considering most of the suggestiveness is subtle (most; not all )I don't see why they can't simply give it a 'T' rating while keeping its original content. And from what I've personally seen about this forum, everyone's pretty laid-back and tend to take things in stride; opinions will be made, but worse of them always seem to end on a 'let's agree to disagree' tone and rarely explode in way that I've seen in other game forums. that and such things aren't very new concepts, so...

I cannot get over what a great character Gunther is. His supports with Female Kamui are adorable and his Male Kamui supports hit me right in the feels.

I was starting to lean towards only buying one path but here's that final nudge towards Nohr.

Yeah, I'm basically on the let's agree to disagree side. Not because it's not a conversation worth having (it is) but for me personally I just can't agree, so I'm just respectfully bowing out of that particular conversation.

On a personal note, I have to admit I'm pretty worn out from all the bickering back and forth about the game in general. It's all over the various sites I go to for information and while of course there's some problematic things that should be addressed with the game (and I can almost guarantee they will be with localization) I find that many people are responding (on both sides of the fence) with a lot of hyperbole and information twisting, and the fandom is just clawing at each other with heightened emotions.

Not to say that people can't be unhappy about the game, because that is certainly within their rights. There are some things that really bug me about Fates and how some things in-game were handled, but there's a lot of really great and amazing things about it too. I guess I just personally try and take a more optimistic view than some people do which is perfectly fine if others don't, but the fandom has really been killing some enjoyment I've had for its release, so I'm just trying to distance myself a bit. So if anyone sees me sidestepping those sort of conversations here, don't take it as I'm ignoring you or your opinion, but it's probably because I've already have my fill of arguing over it on other sites like Reddit lol.

Really enjoyed the Saizou x Suzukaze supports. A lot of the family ones are super good ; ;

Also really like a lot of Kisaragi's supports, surprisingly. He's so much different than his father lol

I'm also really surprised that I'm liking Matoi a lot more than I most of the kids in general are really good this time around, imo.
