I'm just glad I don't see people here arguing about the game's content and stuff. But then again compared to most sites, Ushi is always a really nice spot for stuff like this.

Question about the plot;

What is Aqua's power exactly? Is that lake she enters in the cutscenes supposed to be some other world or something? I haven't heard much about the actual plot itself, other than who dies and the whole family mess.

What difficulty did you choose?

I started out with Normal-Casual but my entire army was being taken out and game overs abound.

For the time being, i'll tone it down to Phoenix until I can actually hold my own. You can go to Anna to tone down the difficulty if you need to.

I always make my first run easy so I can leisurely enjoy the game, and then do the higher difficulty on the second run.

For all of those looking at the Nohr version, be advised that its much harder than Hoshido. If you played the first localized Fire Emblem, you'll feel right at home, but if you've only played Sacred Stones or Awakening, you'll be in for a shock.

Also yeah i tend to hang around ushi more than anything else cause people escalate into aggressive comments waaaay too quickly on other sites. Ushi topics are more like family

So I found out something interesting about the Nohr side. You can't grind exp, but you can grind support.

The only way to get exp is to do the storyline chapters, but if you visit other people's castles via wifi, you can battle them. The battle with other players do not result in exp gain, BUT your support levels go up like in a normal battle. I was able to get Gunther to S Rank in about 20 minutes of targeting newbie castles and just sending Kamui and Gunther out as the only units.

I was reading some of the translated supports for the game. And, I have to say that Kisaragi is absolutely one of the cutest children characters, he is up there with Foleo as the one I find cute.

I got about 10 chapters to go in the Nohr route. I am enjoying it a lot, but i'd have to say so far, I enjoyed Hoshido a lot more. The last chapters could completely make me do a 180, but we shall see.

I have been trying really hard to avoid spoilers for the 3rd route but I was spoiled in regards to Gunther's roll. Its gona make me cry, ngl, because he's imo, he's the best character in the game (personality wise) and my favorite character. I found this picture of his 3rd route representation (presumably) and I'm trying to figure out if its offical artwork or not:

This is more or less what happens:

In all three of the routes, Gans will knock Gunther off a bridge. He doesn't return in the Hoshido Route, but in the Nohr route, he returns and becomes a permanent party member.

In the 3rd route however, he has his mind taken over by the main baddie and is a boss character (the picture above shows how different his composure is to his regular personality). Once defeating him, Aqua will use her singing to break him out of the mind control, but Gunther is so distraught over turning his blade on Kamui that he commits suicide.

Now this is a rumor, but there are some hackers that say his death is preventable and he will join the party after the fight, but he cannot be S ranked in the 3rd route. This has to be taken with a grain of salt though as the 3rd route had missing assets and other things and they might change on offical release. Still though, my poor Gunther! ;_;

Anywho, I was able to figure out how to unlock Yukimura and Izana today. I wrote a small guide here to all that are interested:

If anyone is affiliated with Serene's Forest, could someone let them know? (if they don't already...) I know everyone has been pulling their hair out trying to figure out how to unlock them.

since you have yukimura can i ask a question? I've seen two things about him-- supposedly, you can S-rank him, and that if you do, you don't get kanna.. .can you confirm this for me at all?

While I can't 100% confirm that, I have S ranked the other "Only Kamui" characters and have gotten Kanna just fine.

The Kamui only supports just don't have children of their own (kids are tied to their fathers this time around).


I plan on doing another Hoshido playthrough once i'm done with my current Nohr one and then splitting it for Yukimura and Asura supports.

Hmm... I was doing a little lurking on Serenes and some people who are the support translation had came across something very interesting. I will put it the spoilers just in case.

Apparently in the files... Aqua was originally suppose to be also a S-rankable with Fem!Kamui since there files for male!Kanna sibling support with Shigure and male!Kanna parent support with Aqua.
