Update (4/4/15): Version 1.1 is available now and includes a calculator for Gardening Points!

Harvest Moon Tracking - A New Beginning!

--> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing <--

This is a spreadsheet to keep track of various things in Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. It will help you keep track of treats given to animals; it has a calculator for determining the amount of GP your Gardening Space has, and it has a checklist for each blueprint, recipe, and clothing item (and tells how to obtain each).

Here's a breakdown of each sheet:

Animals: This is where you track treats. To add an animal, all you need to do is put its name. Tracking treats is optional, so I put a yes/no toggle at the end of the row. If you do want to, change that to "Yes" and give the animal type. The number of products, great products, and farm location are simply for your reference and are not used in any calculations.
Important: Only type in the "Animal Name" column and in the "Fed" columns. I've got equations in the Needed and Remaining that will fill in automatically when you enter the other values.

Blueprints: This is a checklist for each blueprint. I've got them divided up into the different categories (houses, tools, farm objects, farmhouse, fencing, gardening, decorations). With each entry, I tell it's name, yes/no toggle for whether you've obtained it, where you can get it, and any requirements for it becoming available.

Recipes: Just like blueprints, but with the recipes. Split into salad, soup, fried, pot, rice, noodle & bread, dessert, and drink. It includes the name, obtained yes/no, where to obtain and any requirements.

Clothing: Checklist for each clothing item. It includes the name, obtained yes/no, the ingredients needed to make each one, and town restoration and friendship requirements where applicable.

Gardening Tour: Calculator for Garden Points. Simply list each item you have and are planning to put in your garden space, and it will calculate your total GP based on base GP, individual GP, theme GP, and set GP. The info for each item is fetched from a sheet named "Tour Info" (which I have hidden).

The next two sheets are not checklists, but they're there simply there for reference:

Sandra's Stall: Lists all of the blueprints and recipes that Sandra offers. Includes the name and each item required.

Gathering Groups: Lists the different gathering levels for recipes and blueprints when mining/fishing/fish trapping. The lists contain conditional formatting to highlight red when missing certain items from groups. Upon group completion, the group name will turn green.

I've included these last two because often times my actual checklists refer to "Fishing Group 3" or "Sandra's Stall" and just figured having all of the requirements in one place would be helpful.

SO. If this is something you think you would like to use, feel free! If you want to use it, go to File > Make a Copy, and you'll be set!

If you find any typos or wrong information, please let me know and I'll fix it! Especially in version 1.1 where there are probably copy/paste errors from the other sheet I was using to work on the gardening stuff with.

Or if you have any suggestions for other things for me to include, let me know!

Bumping this back up to mention that I have made a couple additions to the original sheets, just in case somebody is still using the old one ^_^

I just wanted to post that this spreadsheet thingy is AMAZING. Thankyou so much for making it.

The sheet said that requests and suggestions are ok, so I thought I'd tell you about an idea that I had.
I thought that it would be cool if the Gathering Groups sheet had conditional formatting on the items so they turn green once you mark them as 'yes' on the Recipe's or Blueprints sheets? That would make it easy to see when you have completed a gathering group. I could just mark them manually, but I'm lazy. :)

I couldn't figure out how to do it myself, but you seem to be a bit of a whiz.

Thank you! I'm glad you're finding it useful! :D

But omg, thank you for that suggestion. I hadn't even thought about that! I've been trying to figure out how to get conditional formatting to work in that way, and I believe I've got it. I'll play around with it tonight and see if I can get it working. Thank you!

Haven't updated this thread since the nice suggestion of conditionally formatted gathering groups. And I would like to say that it has been added! Thank you so much kidhedera for the idea ^_^

I just started using your spreadsheet a few days ago and it has been extremely helpful! It's great for treat tracking, because I always forget how many treats I've given my animals. I've been using all the other sections as well. Thank you for creating it :)

I don't exactly use your spreadsheet (I already had one myself for animals treats and a couple other things I needed) but I'll admit I "stole" a couple of the tabs you make (the recipe and blueprints lists are pretty useful).

That said, there's a small bug in the Gardening Tour tab. You can only get 100G for the 10 point themes and a max of 200 for the 50/100 point themes. The way you calculate them, the value isn't capped, so the final result may come out higher than expected.

Oh gosh, thank you so much for pointing that out!! It actually wasn't clear to me whether there was a cap or not, so I appreciate you bringing it to my attention. I'll see what I can do about it :)
