Just confirmed: Starlight Gala invitation counts as interacting with your bf/gf; since it is automatic, you won't be able to complete a breakup in late winter/early spring.
Just tested: Working yourself to pass out on the day before Starlight Gala does not avoid the invitation scene. Don't start breaking up in late fall!
Test 2: Staying up until you pass out the night before the Starlight Gala also doesn't skip the invite. There is no way to break up between Winter 24 and Spring 24, it seems.

It took 35 days to get her back to red; I gave her wrapped cold noodles almost every day (gave pudding on white day, and I must have missed 2 days somewhere), and was wearing her favorite hat. Also, I took her to the Starlight Gala the day after we broke up...
27 days to go till I can confess again; I wonder if the bud will turn back to a flower when she's dateable again.
I should be around 190 gifts now, so by the time I can finish triggering her last two heart events, I should be good to go for reverse proposal and proposing after rejecting the reverse proposal.
Assuming you've set up Miiverse already, you hit the home button while playing, double tap the Miiverse icon (looks like 3 green people side by side). Once you log in, it should take you to the SoS community page automatically; the first time it might not, I don't remember, so if it doesn't you need to poke around to find the community page for SoS.
Once there, hit post, and you have an option in the upper right to add a screenshot to your post.
Once you've posted with your screenshot, you can go to miiverse.ninetndo.net from your computer, log in again, and view your activity feed to see your screenshots, and get their urls to post them here (or wherever).
Also, as you can see in the last set of screenshots, the bud didn't turn back to a flower until we were actually dating. So if you dump someone and don't get back together, you may have a permanent reminder of what you did.

As I said, it's understandable.
I just saw Licorice's first flower event. I like her more than the other four girls. Her first event was so simple and sweet; it put her flower events in ToTT to shame in my opinion.

Her purple one almost made me squeal. So cute and really fit her.
Tangentially, I love how most purple events this time around are actually romantic to some extent. It makes sense that they agree to date you afterwards, whereas ANB was friendly events > ????? > profit.
