I'm getting close to the winter of my first year, & have been using this site to make the right decisions but I keep getting letters in the mail & I can't read them!!!!! And then there's Valentine's Day & Thomas's request, but I can't tell what he wants or who I accepted to date!!! (I want Doctor... ) Please help me!!!

If you want to read the letters it helps to understand the language Some of the letters you can guess at what they're saying, like the Happy Birthday letters and Happy New Years ones. You'll also get letters when Jeff has the Blue Feather for sale and when you win the random lottery. When you win the lottery you'll be sent a bottle of Van's Favorite Thing, which looks like a bottle of wine.

Thanks for that, now I know what three of my five letters are, but I still need to know some way to tell who I am accepting a date with!!! Any Key Kanji to look for, anything??? Please!!!! At least a little help telling wich one's the Doc...

When you talk to a character their name will appear on your screen. Just compare the names to what you have on your letters

This website doesn't support the download of HM <b>Very Bad Things™</b>, but I"m sure if you searched for it on google, someone will have the file up for download...But be sure to support the company by buying it when it comes out in english, that's what I'm gonna do, anyway.

Why does Gray's name have an "L" kanji?

(yes, I know that Japanese has no "L" in it, but most kanji is derived from Chinese, which does have an "L", and often used to form words from foreign languages)

L and R are kind of one-in-the-same in Japanese when it comes to Katakana

L = レーザー (laser)
R = レーシングカー (racing car)

But why use レ when you have a perfectly good リ?

Because リ can be "ri" or "li"

L = リーガルシステム (legal system)
R = リアシート (rear seat)
