Random items appearing in inventory; multiplayer glitch?

I've been playing some multiplayer (only visiting other farms, so far, since mine sucks), and I carefully monitor what I get from each person. Now, after going through my inventory I found some mayo, a kerchief and some turnip seeds there that I know weren't gifted to me. Where did they come from???
