RF4 crashing?

I've had RF4 since Wednesday or Thursday, and up until yesterday, I think, everything worked fine. Then the game started crashing a bunch, and usually I get the 3DS error where I have to completely turn off the 3DS, although it's exited the game and automatically restarted the system twice, and it froze once.

It usually happens while in my room, often while accessing my storage or utensils. It's also happened in other areas, though, but for the most part I've been able to avoid it by staying out of my room unless I absolutely need to deposit things in my storage. Still, it's to the point where it's basically unplayable, since 90% of the time when I try to do something in my room it crashes.

I read elsewhere that it might be from having too many things on the screen, so I tried moving some of my cooking utensils to the trophy room, but it crashed while I was doing so.
Also, I don't soft reset (I did for one festival, but that was after I started having the problem).

I have a digital copy, and I'm not sure about other games, and whether or not it has to do with my SD card. I did get a new one, which is a microSD card with an adapter. I haven't really played any of the other games on it, except for StreetPass Fishing, where I did get kicked out of it, but I think I ended up back in Mii Plaza. Still, if possible, I'd like to avoid formatting it (partially because I'm not sure if I would have to format everything, or if I could just keep the 3DS folders and move them back afterwards).

Ehh, sorry for the long explanation, but I'm really sort of desperate, and hopefully someone here will know what to do.

If you open the eShop and go to RF4's page, at the bottom there's a repair tool. It will check for any problems with your game, even if it says there aren't any problems you can still use it. It will re-download your game while keeping your save files, it will take a while to re-download, but it might be worth it to see if it helps.

Ah, thanks! I wasn't aware of that, and it did say there was a problem. Hopefully it will be fixed then.

Maybe your sd card is almost full.
