Help with Floating Castle (RF4)

Okay, so I made it to the floating castle and I cleared the East section. I've cleared the Southern part, all the way to the mini-boss. I've also traveled through the West bit, but that one seems to be a pain in the « Mr.Gourmet's hat », so I haven't gone through it much.

Anyway, what I want to know is how the fluffin' hell do you fight the automated things effectively? I'm used to using either (I'll go and find the stats for them when I have my 3DS with me):

-The poison-effect long sword
-The wind-effect dual blades
-The water-effect long sword

I switch to whatever's most effective at the time, but the automated thingies don't have a weakness that I've noticed.

What's the best tactic against them?

Have you tried Fire? I think the weakness was either Fire or Erath, but Fire is the first thing that came to mind.

I don't remember if they have a particular weakness, but I know that I ended up abusing Cyclone quite a bit, even when not using fist weapons. It's a rune ability you can get from treasure chests in Sechs Territory. It hits multiple times as you swirl around, but the part I abused is the final hit of that ability ignore defenses and hits for a lot. It is good for multiple enemies as well as single ones. If all else fails, it couldn't hurt to see if it helps you, too. Just keep in mind that the last hit is the one that ignores defense, and even if you don't hold a direction, your character will move forward a bit in the combo. Keep it in mind when aiming.

I think I tried to use Fireball on it before, I'll go and try it to make sure. Thanks! :lala:

All right, I'll go and look for it! :bunny: What other Rune Abilities do you tend to use?
