what level to defeat Leon

what is the level you suggest to go to defeat him , and what the type of weapon and magic should I bring? 
I guess I was around lv. 90 or so. I'm progressing kinda slow so my level was probably higher than the average since I absolutely didn't have any problems with beating Leon. If I remember correctly Silver is the best material you can get at that time so just try forging the strongest weapons & armor that use silver.
Can't tell you much about magic since I'm not using it on a regular basis, I guess Healing Magic is always a good thing to have.
