Ushi No Tane Forum

I'm not sure if this is just standard for RF4 or not. The wooly fur that my woolies leave on the ground is large and level ten, but no matter how long I've had them and loved them (brushing and giving gifts of fur) the fur I harvest is always large and level one. Is this how it is in this game? Or do I simply have to boost their levels to get the harvested large fur to a higher quality? I have a couple who are just shy of 200 last time I checked.
