New Bachelor Moving To Town
Good morning, fellow newshounds! Naomi here, on the trail of the HOTTEST NEWS STORY YET! Our interviewee has agreed to sit down if we promise not to show his face. An unusual request, to be sure, but the editor in chief at the paper was willing to do so, and here we are with a brand new interview! Let’s kick things off with a few basic questions before we dive into the juicy details:

Q: Mystery gentleman, can we have your name?
A: Sure! My name's Luke!

Q: So, let's get back to basics as they say these days: how old are you, and when is your birthday?
A: My birthday is Summer 7th! And how old am I? Uh... Oh jeez, I forgot!

Q: What do you do for a living, Luke?
A: I'm studying how to make medicine from herbs! I'm especially interested in studying rare plant life! I've travelled all over studying medicine! It's because I love helping people, you know?

Q: Do you like animals?
A: Of course! But human patients are my specialty. I'll leave the animal care to the real professionals!

Q: What attracted you to Hillsville?
A: Well, the Lost Valley was really lost until recently I hear, having been under a curse of eternal winter! Now that the seasons are back, I can't wait to see what secrets the valley might hold! Hopefully a bunch of ingredients for new medicines!

Q: So you're definitely moving in?
A: I'm still figuring that out, but if I decide to stay I'll probably move in sometime in the middle of June!

Q: I see you’re carrying a bag! What's inside it?
A: Oh, I'm glad you asked! Let's see here... I've got some basil, lavender, chamomile, ginger, some garlic, a pinch of...

Oh my readers, it seems we've lost him for the moment...keep watching for Part 2 of our interview!

Seems like Luke is moving into the valley, after you have restored all of the lost seasons.

The bold information seem really intresting, so I hope, he looks intresting, too.
I´m looking forward to new information, the E3 and the shadow of the bachelorette.

Some people need to try really hard to justify their irrational behaviour. Hahaha

I was going to stay out of it, but seriously this kind of stuff is why I'm thinking about leaving the forums.
Sure, it wasn't put the best but I've seen people talking about never picking up the game over things ((including if they didn't put in Gareth/Tabitha as candidates)) and no one bat an eyelash but someone saying they don't want to buy the game now and it's the end of the world.

Personally, I have the game, I play the game when I want, and I don't care nearly as much as half you you it seems about either Gareth/Tabitha being or not being candidates OR people having a problem with it. Between this and some of the SoS board « Puppy Doodoo » people are really starting to look bitter.

Now as far as the info, that looks really neat and give people more of a reason to care than the kind of 'oooh you mad bro' kind of attitude, and can't wait to see more of it in the future as we get towards getting the DLC. ((I wonder when in June it will be.))

I can't believe people are getting so worked up about digital spouses. Why don't we just say "YAY, new candidates" instead of freaking out about people who aren't candidates? They'd pretty much have to patch the entire game writing all new scenarios for G&T to make them marriageable, as well as creating the (for lack of a better term) heart events. That's not DLC territory, that's a whole rewrite.

I get that, like I said they didn't deal with it the best either. But attacking people about it isn't helping it's just creating a hostile environment. ((Which is why after getting that out there I moved right on to being positive about what was going on.))

I think yours is one of the more reasonable posts I've seen addressing it and I wish more people in general would address things like you.

I'm personally got bored of the game. Not because of Gareth/witch (can't remember her name) but because I ran out of things to do (I don't care about unlocking all of the mutations) am I disappointed that witch/wizard were not candidates? Ill admit yes a little, but I still got the game, I still had fun for a while and I (almost) got married to Tony.

I don't get why people don't play a game just because a pixel isn't available. It is simply stupid IMO. On topic I'm interested in the new character. I lean more about them before I judge them. Right now it sounds like a character similar to Basil from HM:MM and HM:BTN.

Out of curiosity I will be preordering my europe realise on friday so am I going to be able to download them? or will they have to be translated???

They mentioned on a Facebook post that Europe would get all the DLC but it was up to rising star games when that would happen. so it won't be available at launch.

Meanwhile the only boring thing to me about the new candidate is it's another "blue eyed blonde" model according to the second half of the Q&A and I get easily bored with the "same face" syndrome a lot of character design for mass appeal games comes with, haha.

But an herb dude? Count me in. I love the herb/plant lovers, especially the ones who are passionate about things (and regardless of any other writing, the TLV LIs all are passionate about their careers, which is nice) and who utilize them towards medicine. Such a cool field IRL, I love seeing it rep'd in game land too.

Who is this mysterious man?!

Good evening, fellow newshounds! Naomi here, back with the newest eligible bachelor coming to The Lost Valley.

Q: Now that you’re done rummaging in your bag Luke, next question! Do you have any siblings?
A: Uh, not that I know of! But life is full of surprises, so you never know, right?

Q: What's your favorite food? Is there any sweets you're particularly fond of?
A: I'm a big fan of tomatoes, actually! They're quite healthy for you, you know! I like most vegetables, actually!

Q: Do you have someone special in your life?
A: Not right now! Travelling and studying medicine has kept me pretty busy! But...maybe I'd stay put...for the right girl.

Q: What do you do in your spare time?
A: I enjoy hiking! Walking somewhere new lets me discover new plants to use in my medicines!

Q: Is there anything you're looking for in a lovely lady?
A: Just someone with an open mind, you know? And maybe someone who can teach me to be more focused on stuff!

Q: Let's see here...*shuffles notes*... "Do you bleed?" My audience asks some very bizarre questions!
A: I...prefer not to!

Q: Well then, a final question: are you willing to reveal anything about how you look?
A: Hmm... Let's say I’m a blue-eyed blond! You'll have to spot me around the valley to discover anything else!

While I'd love to see a bit more diversity, this does at least give an even split dark/fair to our bachelors...though we've excluded redheads and people of any color other than white. I think this is a key thing that Natsume has listened to and we might see more skin shades next time around...


Also, the specific mention of lots of herbs makes me wonder if this DLC will also add more seeds...or perhaps wild growing herbs? I'd bet on seeds rather than wild plants, as they seem easier to code in. He might sell the seeds himself instead of Sam/April's Mom (I can never remember her name for some reason).

Thus far, despite missteps with the game itself (which I still love...my main file is nearing 200 hours), the DLC has been pretty good. Several free bits, the first paid stuff was free for a long while (and really would have been more than worth the $1 fee anyway). Quite looking forward to what we'll get with the upcoming pack! I may have to go pick up my poor girl file to catch her up (I think the time in that file is like 40 hours...heh heh, that's a lot of catching up).

But Gilbert has green eyes and there is no villager, who has blue eyes and blond hair.

I hope, the new bachelorette is brunette, because we have two blondes and one bachelorette with brown-read hair.
Also I would like, if the two new villagers have a bit darker skin, because all the bachelors/bachelorettes seem quite pale.
