New DLC Bachelor/Bachelorette

Ughh I just spent my money a week ago too on diamonds for rumble world. x3

I defo want the female, sadly even though I really love botany type stuff I'm not really interested in Luke as much.

But I'm actually a little interested in Andrea though.

*Grandpa Voice* I went out to the store and bought an eShop card just for these two, so they'd better be worth it!

Also, I'm looking at Luke's artwork and his hair is... really sloppily drawn? I could do better lining/coloring with my own tablet, SAI, and 10 minutes.
Andrea looks nice though. I'm really digging her design.

I just bought their DLC, so now I just have to sleep and they'll barge in my house, right?

His hair looks better in the actual game.

What's weird though is that the character models during conversation seem to be missized compared to the other characters--at least Andrea's is. I didn't notice it with Luke as much. Both new characters are pretty tall; Andrea towers over my female farmer, and Luke seems to be about the same height as Hunter. I'd also say that Andrea looks FAR older than our other bachelorettes. Luke falls in about the same range as most of the bachelors (though older than Tony, Tony seems younger than Hunter or Gilbert to me).

I just checked the new DLC and it says that it costs $1.79 for me.

I'm in Canada, is it the same for anyone else? (Btw, not sure if I should buy yet...)

That's roughly equivalent to the price in USD, give or take a bit. Personally, I am happy to have a couple more people in my valley, and since the game was budget priced anyway, it seemed like a reasonable deal. Especially since the other DLC was free (at least at first).

I'm working my way through the requests (back one page), if you want an idea of what you need for them.

So a quick update re: the new characters. I've been working my way through the requests (see page 3), and Luke's requests thus far are all crops. However, he will NOT accept better versions of the crop (ie, Great corn instead of corn). Dunno if this is a bug or intentional, but it's slowed me up a bit on finishing the requests!

I just finished downloading the DLC I'm excited to see it. Hopefully I can start contributing to the crop mutations since I more free time.

Holy cow, you were not joking!

I just bought the DLC characters and met them -- Andrea is amazonian in height. And she totally looks older. She makes my male farmer look like a high schooler trying to put the moves on his teacher

And to concur: Luke's model during conversations is not scaled to the average height of everyone else, but Andrea's is waaaay off since her feet are cut off the screen. I kinda hope they patch that but I doubt they will.

LOLOLOL, I know, right? Superbutt (yes, that's what I named my female farmer, it's a weird story) would maybe come up to her shoulder. Maybe.

I'm guessing they wanted the new candidates to look a little older, since with the girls expecially they look (and generally act) really young, but they are scaled funny. Also, I dunno if anyone else thinks this, but Luke looks like he fell out of a Tales of game. It's not bad, but the two newbies don't blend quite neatly into the world.

Oh, I've gone through all four of Luke's love events AND completed his main quests now...I'll type them up this evening. I left my stupid index card with my stupid notes on it at home. Bleh.

Oh, and I've done Andrea as well...quests, but not love events. If no one else gets to it, I may sit down do them this weekend.

I actually really dig the designs for the DLC characters. I think because they have more details and are better modeled they look really good. For instance, the protagonist farmers are kind of strange looking to me since their torsos are so long and without contours and they have these little stick legs. I've always felt that the farmers looked like someone used as transform tool on them

Even though the new characters don't quite match the rest of the TLV cast because of the amount of detail and better character modeling, I'm ok with that since it gives me hope that the new Seed of Memories game from Natsume will have better character designs and models for the game, like Luke and Andrea have

After seeing then in-game... Whoah it's true they're huge.

It's not that they're mis-sized, I actually think the problem is that they're designed in an altered style: their legs and arms are longer and thicker, as is their torso. The head seems to be mostly the same size, but with them being taller it looks less huge.

I actually believe their models might simply be ported from Seeds of Memories.

They look really good, too bad they kind of clash with the rest of the characters.

I just hope that means that they redid the models for everyone, because like I said --- that elongated torso with super short stick legs look does not do it for me at all -_-

That was the main reason I married Hunter in my girl file since his proportions just looked a little better than everyone else thanks to his broad shoulders

Okay, for those interested I updated my requests lists on the 3rd page. I have all 10 of the base requests done for both new characters, a quickie nutshell of Luke's love events, and the first couple of his seasonal requests. Whew! No wonder my wrist is killing me, I've put in at least 30 hours on this game alone since the DLC came out.

SUPER excited to see what other information Luke's requests might bring; I also want to swap over to see Amazon Andrea's love events with my male farmer. Decisions, decisions!
