Sorry for the confusion, it's a review copy, not a street copy.

Tom I actually have a question, you probably mentioned it before but, is there Miiverse screen shot functionality with this game?
Yes, for the European version there is a Miiverse community with screeshots

Oh! If that's the case, then there probably will be for the North American version too after all.
You'll have to forgive me for the mistaken info -- I'm not really up on 3DS functionality. I've never even used StreetPass outside of work!

Great! Not a lot of "new" info for rabid stalkers, but what a great little collection of tidbits about the game and the localization process for everybody. I particularly liked the anecdotes about the voice acting sessions!
Thanks Tom!

Yay Thanks Tom.
I was so excited when I saw my paycheck had enough for me to get this, because I have been out sick for the past month. <3 I preordered it yesterday.

I wonder how this crossover came about. I've seen more oddball crossovers but I don't think there are many who probably thought these two series would work so well together.

Judging by Tamori-sensei's (admittedly brief) interview answers, it sounds like Marvelous approached him (and epics) about it, and when he looked into the Bokujo Monogatari series, he liked what he saw -- which makes sense, given his general philosophy on storytelling in games (which I've compared a couple times now to Gene Roddenberry's general philosophy on sci-fi). Tamori-sensei is all about the potential for people to learn and grow and do good, and the Bokujo series couldn't really embody that more thoroughly.
Also, there WAS this scene in the 1998 anime:
(Warning: Very minor story spoilers, though the 1998 anime isn't really about its story as much as it is about its characters, so I wouldn't worry too much.)
Farming actually plays a fairly big role in the 1998 anime (though not nearly as big a role as it does in Return to PopoloCrois), and is even utilized to a similar end: to symbolize perseverance and fortitude, and to show that with enough work and enough belief, even the most inhospitable landscape can grow a bountiful crop.

That's really adorable/beautiful and a very poetic way to phrase it, Tom!
I've always loved that idea and theme in HM/SoS and Rune Factory. Maybe it's because I'm a gardener professionally IRL, but ever since I started doing it as a job and not just as a hobby, I've really started looking at it with that kind of philosophy to get me through the rough work days. I mean sure, a lot of times I wish gardening was as easy IRL as farming is IG, especially when I'm having to disinfect a couple thousand pots, but even so. (Plus, it always sucks when, IRL, you can do everything 100% right and a plant will still die, but then again, it's also extra special when you do everything wrong (even with the best intentions) and a plant somehow survives or thrives anyway. So it's made me appreciate video game farming a lot more too.)
Also my game shipped yesterday from Amazon! It should arrive today (as it's 1AM here atm), so I am super excited! :D

There have been a number of reviews of the European release already. The scores vary pretty wildly, with a lot of people citing the gameplay as being kind of lackluster, but even the more negative reviews seem to agree that the game is charming and sweet.

I'm so nervicited for tomorrow! I've been on a media blackout since the site launched (aside from reading the manga).

Same for me, Arcy! (Also I forgot today was a leap year and found out my game is arriving tomorrow. Dang it haha!) I missed how it felt going in pretty blind into games so I am trying with this one. It makes it funny to talk to friends about though because they'll ask what it's about and besides showing them the trailer and a couple other general things I don't give much info since I don't have it and they are just like "uh, but what is it ABOUT" repeatedly. XD
