Now I'm just wondering if they're porting FoMT to the WiiU or 3DS. It's definitely happening though with the whole "friendly Harvest Moon surprise" comment.

I'm gonna be pretty apprehensive about this game. Because after The Lost Valley and Hometown Story...
Ech... I just don't know anymore. I wish it were XSeed or Marvelous making a console game instead.
It actually breaks my heart to see myself say that about one of my favorite gaming companies.

I'm more inclined to believe that the iOS/Android port is going to be a miniature version of the game than a full port, but it could also be tablet-only...
Currently gaming: SoS: Grand Bazaar
I've been playing HM since 1999 and a member of this board since 2005...but only participate now and then when I'm engrossed in an HM game. Maybe you can think of me as a ghost?

That wouldn't surprise me. That was what they did with Hometown Story.Emurii wrote:I'm more inclined to believe that the iOS/Android port is going to be a miniature version of the game than a full port, but it could also be tablet-only...
I doubt they would have it designed for the Wii U if the intent was to port to mobile.

But you are missing a big point:Anonymous Fish wrote:Yes, the new games are losing its touch. However, New Beginning kinda gave me hope that it's getting good again. I just wish they flesh out the villagers more, and put more darker themes.
Natsume was just the publisher of "A New Beginning" in North America and "The Lost Valley" is the first game, Natsume developed by itself. "A New Beginning" was developed by Marvelous AQL, so it´s a bit difficult to compare "The Lost Valley/Seed of Memory" to "A New Beginning".
Were did Natsume exactly disapoint you?moonbox wrote:I want to be excited for a console game but it's Natsume and they've disappointed me so much in recent years... Also not liking the sound of it being on Android/iOS.
Because you have to distinguish between publishing and developing a game.
Natsume developed this games: HM GB, HM 64, HM 2 & 3, more friend of mineral town, save the homeland, another wonderful life , animal parade and tree of tranquility.
The other games just got published by Natsume and got developed by Marvelous.

Natsume didn't develop any of those games.Floh wrote:Natsume developed this games: HM GB, HM 64, HM 2 & 3, more friend of mineral town, save the homeland, another wonderful life , animal parade and tree of tranquility.

I'm pretty sure this and The Lost Valley are the only main series Harvest Moons Natsume has developed in-house.
Other than that, the company that made the games up until Friends of Mineral Town (I think) was Victor Interactive, then that company was bought by Marvelous and they (Marvelous) continued with the series up until A New Beginning, after which Natsume and Marvelous separated. All those games were only published by Natsume.
(Of course, Marvelous still continues making Story of Seasons on their own).

I´m really sorry, if this is wrong, because I just used the wiki article of Natsume and there are these games listed as developed by Natsume.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natsume_%28company%29
I also have found some real gameplay material from seeds of memorys, but I can´t say, if it´s the mobile version viewed on a screen, or if this is the WiiU version.
It reminds me of older side scroll harvest moon games and the houses seme to be a bit little, but CeeCee said, this game is still in developmend and it´s just a demo of it until now.
I loved the old games and I would give it a try.
