My best guess for this skipping the 3DS is that TLV is still too new to replace.

Oh yeah, there's that as well; didn't it only come out last year? Hell I don't think it's even been a year since it came out.

It came out about eight and a half months ago. I remember because it came out the week I got married.

Kind of a good business move to move to other platforms that Marvelous won't seem to touch. It also helps that the actual group developing the game (I think the name is Talbot?) works on mobile games (I believe TLV was their first 3DS game). Without putting it on the 3DS, there won't be competition with the next Story of Seasons game (guessing there will be one more for the 3DS). They're also able to expand the audience and introduce others to the brand name. Good move, Natume.

Seriously skeptical on this game though. TLV to me was a flop and was unpolished (grammar error ON THE BACK OF THE CASE and Luke's "official" art is down right the most depressing thing ever). It's like all the things they chose not to include for whatever reason is being reintroduced in this Seeds of Memories game while seemingly not adding anything introduced in TLV. It's like "oh yeah, here's all the things we didn't include, but ehhh... no terraforming." I don't want to jump the gun and say that they're not including any mutations, animal fodder, or the button mapping. I hope they keep SOMETHING unique from TLV so it won't feel like just a HMSNES nostalgia bait with MM elements.

I'm not going to harshly judge the graphics at this point. I was surprised however by the sheer gnashing of teeth from news article comments and the gameplay videos. Never realized just how passionate some people are about Harvest Moon (though I am myself haha). I do think that the trees and the rocks looking kind of oddly 3-D is really out of place and does not mesh well with the 2D. Though I can say that THE NOISE EVERY TIME YOU TRY TO DIRECT YOUR CHARACTER SOMEWHERE IS AWFUL. Controlling the character seems quite difficult as well and I hope there's an easy way to work it out. I can only imagine the farming with watering everything but the plant @__@ Also super not excited to be seeing the same characters that I had no interest in.

I still feel uneasy when Natsume keeps claiming that they're going back to the roots of the series... Just ehh... not sure if that will ever go away since I grew up with them knowing them as the "translaters" and not the developers...
