Mutation seeds

I was wondering about mutations seeds. If I unlocked a certain mutation seed, when I plant them, can those seeds mutate? For example, I unlock Red Cabbage seeds. If i grew those Red Cabbage seeds, can they mutate like regular Cabbage seeds? Or do mutations only occur from the original crop seed? Thanks! ^_^

Yes, mutations can come from seeds grown from mutated crop, but not all mutations continue to mutate (if that makes sense).
