Soft resetting...?

I just unlocked the mine, so naturally I'm going to be especially picky with my daily allotment of ore. So I've been soft resetting around 50 times per game day, and I've heard of it damaging the system in other games, but I can't find anything about excessive soft resetting in this game. I know a lot of people do it for fishing and stuff, and I don't think anyone has complained, so...? Will soft resetting corrupt this game?

Since I do it, I've never heard of anyone who has a problem with it. So it's probably safe to do so, lol. Although, I've heard people say that it's cheating, but I don't care. Lol.

I've only ever heard rumours about SRing damaging your game, even for other games, and they're often debunked. iirc the function is there as a fail-safe (like if something goes wrong with your file, you can just reload the save), and in ANB, you don't even have to hold down any buttons, you just go to the menu and click 'load'. I doubt it could damage your game any more than constantly saving can.
I'm pretty picky with mining as well. I even sometimes turn the volume off and watch something else while I'm doing it so I can make sure I always get the stuff I need. So far my game still works perfectly

Hehe, I'd see it as cheating and not do that yeah ^^ But in a singleplayer game like this it's up to each player to decide what to do and what they consider cheating and want to avoid. Not like it hurts anyone or their enjoyment of the game when you cheat...
