I'm still exploring my options. LOL I just got this game this summer as a gift. I tried playing at first without the guide so I probably would have been married to Neil by now except that he rejected me when I asked him to go steady! LOL! So after that I was like "really?? FINE! I'm gonna go date everyone, then!" hahahhaha

After a while I started using the guide so at this point I've seen all the purple heart events and Neil won back some favor with his. But I'll probably wait even longer because I've found that even more valuable than the black&purple heart events is the Starry Night Festival!

I'm just starting year 3 now and so far I've gone with Allen & Soseki. Allen can be rude sometimes otherwise I would have totally given my everything to him by now, though. He's gorgeous, confident and quite the flirt. Ahhh!!! too many choices! hahah I'll have to come back later with my final decision. *chuckle*

I'm married now so I can officially properly answer this. It was Allen and ultimately, because of this (my first starry night festival with him before we were even dating):
That literally made me blush in real life and I pretty much never got over it. lmao

Edit: Also he called me babe, and even when I get called that by real people it makes me blush so.... yeah.

That's adorable. I know a lot of people don't like him, but there are some of us that do. He may be cocky but he can be a sweetheart. I don't regret choosing him first at all.

Most of the stuff he says doesn't really bother me. The only one that made me second guess things when I was dating him was when I won the advanced animal festivals. He says the same thing he says when you win advanced in the other festivals, but in the animal one it's more of an order, which I didn't like. But then I did his green heart event and saw that he actually gets amused by your petulance so I was like oookay... he's that guy. The one that likes to annoy the « Puppy Doodoo » out of you because he thinks you look cute when you're angry. And that just pretty much sums Allen up for me. Plus his flirting and sweet talk makes me swoon every stinking time.

He does get pretty romantic after marriage. I loved what he said during the MC's pregnancy. It was adorable

Oooo something to look forward to, then! I have been avoiding spoilers for him. Time to advance my story line, then! *determined face*

I married Amir first. I hadn't played GB yet, so I wasn't familiar with him at all, but I waited until he and Sanjay moved in to make sure I was deciding between everyone and . . . hot guys alert! XD Given that none of the previous bachelors had interested me as of yet (English Neil wasn't very well done imo, I might have preferred him in the original Japanese), it became a choice between those two. I like both and am still thinking of marrying Sanjay in my next girl file, but I went with Amir first. I just found him so sweet and cute without feeling uncomfortably childish like Rod. Also, I found his dislike of jewels (as a prince with a very princely mansion) to be an interesting quirk that I liked. His love for his family is another plus.

Basically, I could find nothing I truly disliked and he was the only bachelor to earn this distinction in ANB. I don't mean he has no faults, but he has none that put me off from him.


I've played only one boy file and likely won't play anymore, but in that one, I married Iroha. It's not like she's an exciting character, but I like her style and attitude, and her musical talent is a big plus for me.
