Water Paddy Crops Died??

They still have water in them, yet they are dead. I have no idea what went wrong. It is in the west farm if that matters. =\ Can any experts provide insight?

Um, I think it doesn't matter which side they're on? Idk. I also had this problem once so I have no idea. Could over watering them kill them?

I don't think that's possible, though because it tells you when you can't water it any more. And I planted them like the same time I planted some in my east (terrace) field and those ones are fine. I'm really confused. lol I feel like I remember reading somewhere something about water fields in that area specifically, but I don't know if I'm just making up this memory in my head or if I just can't find it now in the guide. :|
