I just got Harvest Moon: A New Beginning 3DS today. I'm just curious... & I hope no one takes offense to when I ask this:

Is Harvest Moon: A New Beginning 3DS the precursor to Story Of Seasons 3DS?

I've only played 3 harvest moon games:

Story Of Seasons 3DS
Harvest Moon 1 - GBC
Harvest Moon 2 - GBC

The reason I ask is because I'm not sure is Harvest Moon connects the storylines to newer games from the previous games etc. Sort of like professor Layton how the storylines are connected to one another or the does the harvest moon games do each of them have there own separate storyline in each harvest moon video game? I've been curious about that for a while lol just didn't want it to come across wrong.

Plus the graphics in Harvest Moon: A New Beginning 3DS look similar to Story Of Seasons 3DS! :D

Yes. A new beginning is the game before Sos. That's why both games have the same feel to them. It's also easier to get the reverse proposals in this game, since there is no 30 of their favorite gift requirement.

2 questions:

Where do I go to buy animals?

Which bachelor once unlocked should I go for? Allen, Neil, Rod? lol. I was looking at fogu's guide a little bit at the bachelors for this game lol! :D

I kept the same setting in Harvest Moon: A New Beginning 3DS too! Farmer Lilly & Rugrat Farm lol.

You can start buying a cow and chicken on the 9th when Neil unlocks. He gives you a free cow.

It's up to you on who to go for, but I myself would go for Allen or Rod. Allen has a really easy loved gift which is Herb soup. You can't really unlock him until summer tho. The only guy in town during Spring is Neil, who I personally dislike, but to each their own. He likes fodder

I also keep the same name in each Harvest Moon game.

SoS is not the sequel to ANB inf that's what you meant by your first question. The stories are in no way related. As for bachelors, why don't you just unlock them all and decide for yourself or watch videos and see who you prefer that way?

Yes that's what I meant. Like I said before I've only played 3 harvest moon games before picking up HM: ANB - 3DS today:

Story Of Seasons 3DS & Harvest Moon 1 & 2 - GBC

I couldn't tell you how each harvest moon game plays out because I've only played the 3 games HM:ANB being my 4th HM game.

As for unlocking the bachelors. I just figured it would save time rather to ask questions.

In SOS - 3DS I logged over 400 hours trying to date/marrying Fritz... I ended up braking up with Fritz & married Mistel & Klaus in 2 different profile slots. The 1st profile slot I was in year 8 before I finally gave up on Fritz... I would prefer to not make the same mistake twice only in different HM game with different characters.

If you can't decide for yourself then what's the point of you even having the game? The forum rules state, very clearly, that you aren't allowed to ask questions like this. But the fact that you've put a "lol" at the end implies that you already knew this, but did it anyway, just to p**s people off.

Asking for others to play your game: If you don't have the ability to make your own decisions and must ask the other forum members who you should marry, what to name your cows, etc., the topic will be locked. The game's adventure is for you to decide and no one else.

SoS is indeed the "sequel" in a game-development sense to ANB. Marvelous typically makes two of each one using similar graphic styles and features/systems as the original, so SoS is the upgraded version of ANB.

That's really your decision to make. Technically, there is no benefit to marrying one person over another. I tend to stay single in-game because I find it doesn't add anything significant.

As for bachelors, I'd ask myself this: "Which Personality do I like the best?" That should help you decide.

Also Cher, I think you meant IOH/SI, not IOH/SS, XD it's okay I assumed that it was a typo XD

Oh yes, I knew that, I thought they were asking if the stories were related. I haven't found any correlation between the story of ANB and SoS

3. FYI I did not ask anyone to play my game for me. I simply asked for advice from others who have actually played: HM: ANB 3DS get your facts straight before you accuse someone of something.

You're allowed to ask questions, you just can't ask people how to play your game. Like, you're not allowed to ask people stuff like "who should I marry?" Or stuff like that. It takes the fun away if we told you how to play your game. It's your game, not ours, play however you want.

Theres a huge difference between asking advice & asking someone to play your game which I wouldn't do because if I buy a game for myself. I want to play it myself. Unless it multi-player then the game is meant to be played with others.
