This must be the reason why my local game store didn't/doesn't have pre-orders up yet At least that decreases the number of upset people with cancelled orders...

Knowing the demand in my local game store, I think I'll only be able to get a copy in a week up to a month after release date lol. I'm not bothered much but I feel bad for those who were really hyped to get a copy on release day but got cancelled

I ordered mine 11/17 so I guess that should be ok but that's still pretty close cut? Guess I'll have to call my gamestop tomorrow. Should they have called folks by now if they knew they were going to end up short or ???

Cause while I can wait for my copy (and just buy a version that I feel like I'll like more to tie me over until I get my main set), I'll be really pissed if I don't get the LE/SE at all after all this time. Also I want my damn key chains. :U

So I just went online the first time and boy was I surprised to see a team of three Female Kannas, a Midoriko and an Azura...With 99 stats in EVERYTHING lol

I sometimes think that Nintendo undermined the market for this series. They should have handled the orders properly since FE:A was a success. D: I feel bad to those who got their pre-orders cancelled though. The art book looks interesting too!

The upside is only 31 days to go. I do hope they have enough supplies for the standard edition at the very least.

when people on NA complaining about pre-order from gamestop, me from south east asia still no info about special edition-- i hope the reason why gamestop cancel is to avoid the issue "no special edition on south east asia" lol

ps: yes, even in south east asia game webshop, they just said "i cant promise the special edition" (playasia), i really hope that 'cancelled' special edition is for SEA customers like me lol

First I finally voted on not sure what I'm playing first. I know a few faves I would like to support/marry based on looks but that's it. I am waiting til I get to know the characters a bit better before I make my choice.

Personally I would choose the "hell I'm familar with", as in choosing who I have been with most of my life versus strangers I just met. But who knows? I need to see who is the weirdest character first. Those are my favorite.

Thank goodness. I called Gamestop and so far I still have my SE. But just in case I think I'll get there by opening on release day. Never know. For the life of me I couldn't remember when I preordered. I know it was a little after the nintendo direct discussing all the buying options for this game.

May I ask what was the Fire Emblem Awakening debacle? Something similar to what's happening now or worse?

And may I also ask, was there a midnight release for Awakening last time? Just want to know so if I have to I'll be there.

No. It's a LIMITED EDITION.

With Awakening, they severely underestimated how much the game would sell..so even after a month and a half it was really hard to find an in-game copy at many retailers.

@Doc - I'm sorry D: You missed preorders back in November. No second batches, unfortunately.

Ah, well I figured. I guess I'll have to go ahead and pre-order both copies then. I'm definently going to play Hoshido first.

Thanks for the info. True, having the game all in one cartridge are what most people are aiming for especially the physical collectors.

Like SakunoHaru, I live in SE Asia too so no final announcement if there is going to be a SE but at least we are getting the game. I'll probably go digital if there are shortage in supply. ;(

Paid off my preorder and they said that I was good to go and my order was safe (and that some retailers overgo their limit/threshold/something but not them). So assuming that was true I should be good. :0

i checked a super long time ago and it wasn't available for preorder so apparently i missed when it was. ugh i need to keep myself more updated. theres no way i can afford buying all three games separately :c

The SE costs the same as if you bought all three routes. The first game will cost $40 while the other two routes will cost $20 separately ($40 in total) as DLC. The SE is just paying $80 for all three routes right off the bat plus some extra stuff. There's a bundle where you can buy the first two routes for $60 as well.
