Still a bit confused about how the farm bell works.

I know pets are useful for when I'm going on trips and for when I go to animal sanctuary but overall isn't the farm bell better if you're not traveling?

I really dislike having to always avoid being outside my farm at 7am and 5pm.

Does the farm bell take out every single animal in the specific area? Or is there a limit on how many animals will my farm bell take out?

The farm bell works for all animals in that area, minus pets. Your farm starts off as one area, but you unlock 2 more as you play. So you'd need a bell in each area you keep animals.

Personally, I think the farm bell is WAY better than the animals. I really can't stand that cut scene happening all the time, so I just put a bell on my center farm and east farm where I kept my barns and rang it.

Also please note this is the large bell, not the hand bell.

I always used the pets, myself. I do agree though about the horrible cutscene... I remember having a routine that put me up at the top of my farm around 6:55, so I would run outside until 7:00 and come back in. By the time I finished the rest of my work, I would be in town and foraging and completely miss the 5:00 cutscene.

That's just my schedule, though. Most times I don't come back until really late, and if my pets didn't take my animals back in, they'd all be asleep outside and very angry if I touched them, lol.

Farm Bell is way better. I just don't like how you have to befriend Neil in order to get it.
I've also gotten sick of the pet scene

At least Neil like regular 10g animal treats (and eggs and milk) so you can befriend him really easily haha.

The farm bell is the only reason I really need to befriend him.
