Approximately how long did it took you guys to get 10 coconuts for the green house or 5 ancient clay figures for the Witch's house?
Been abusing the two save files and the alarm clock for it but seems like the rates for the coconuts and/or the ancient clay figures are pretty low.
Is there a faster way when you guys did it? Or did you guys just keep trying another day until you got it? How long did it take?

It took me a while to get Witch Princess's house. I would save before going to the ruins. If a clay doll isn't there, then I try again the next day

I got the WP house built before I got Sanjay and Amir unlocked, somewhere in the middle of year two? I also got the ten coconuts at the same time. Uh the way that has worked best for me is to literally visit the travel agency every single day its open (M, T, Th, F). Save before choosing your destination. Choose ruins, run around and see if there are any clay figurines. If there aren't, reload your save and go to the island instead, then run around and look for coconuts. If there aren't any coconuts, you can reload and go to one of the other destinations for their collectible thingys. It seemed to me that the figurines would appear less often then the coconuts, so I checked the ruins first, and then the island. Also when you're on the island you might as well start befriending the turtles because it takes an annoying amount of time to befriend them anyways.
I would run through all my chores and go straight to the travel agency. Since you go to bed immediately after leaving the vacation spot, you can grab the thing you need and then immediately start the next day. You still have the other three days to deal with the villagers so your relationships with them won't go down, and you can save your foraging for those days as well. If you have the money to regularly run to the ruins you probably don't really need to forage anyways.
I raise like the bare minimum of animals for unlocks, so I'm not sure how well this works if you have a lot of animals since they take more time to deal with then crops in my experience. If your chores take too long then you might not be able to go to the ruins because it has five hour travel time and the day ends at 8PM. So if you want about an hour to run around looking for the figurines, you have to leave by 2. There isn't that much to do in the ruins anyways though, so you don't need a whole lot of time.
