Hello, I'm soon in Year 3 Spring and wanted to start planting trees. I looked over the growth information on Fogu and wasn't sure about one thing:
In which season should I start planting summer/autumn fruit trees so they won't die?
Example: If I plant a peach tree at the start of Year 3 Spring and it grows to this stage at the beginning of Year 3 Fall, it has to survive the whole fall season and go dormant in winter before it can grow flowers in Year 4 Spring, right? But what if the tree dies during Year 3 Fall by accumulating too many sun and water points? Would it be better then to plant the peach tree so it grows to this stage right at the beginning of Year 3 Winter (then going dormant, maturing in next spring)? What about apple and grape trees that grow flowers in summer, not in spring? Do you have any tips for that? Sorry for the confusing explanations.
it tells you the days and sun+water points needed, so you just have to calculate it backwards. as soon as it reaches the mature stage you won't have to worry about the sun+water points anymore. at least that's what I did when I planted my trees
Short answer, don't worry about when to plant them. Once they've reached the "Mature" phase as shown in the guide, they will not be able to die after the sun, water, and day requirements listed under the "To Flowering" stage are met.
So if your Peach tree reaches the mature stage, make sure it gets 6 sun, 3 water, and 3 days, and you should be good to go.

Wait, so even if a Spring fruit tree is at mature on Summer 1, if I give it the amount of sun and water to get to "flower" then it won't die even if it gets 119 sun/water, like the main guide page says??? Man, I made up my fruit tree guide for nothing ...
