New Story of Seasons/Bokumono game announced for 3DS

Well, we've gotten 6 bachelors and 6 bachelorettes for a little while now. SoS, ANB, and ToTT all had 12 total marriage candidates, unless I'm blanking and forgetting some.

So 2 per town would make sense, but I imagine we'll still get at least 2 characters that are the "special" ones, or reoccuring ones etc. I wonder who will come back if any do.

Since Cam and Reina came back in sos, I wonder if a character from ANB will return

I'm so looking forward to the new game! The 3 distinct towns seem to resemble the different varieties of the vendors back in SoS. And I wish the eastern theme town can have a tea house, as what Konohana Town has in ToTT. Not sure if there will be lots of animal & crop varieties in this game, but being able to plant things out of season (the screenshot of tomato & turnip planted at the same time) seems to be interesting, perhaps with the personality bonus as mentioned in other previous comments, or special bonus from part-time job or festivals (my imagination on how it could work).

It's nice to have family in the game so we could always visit (or maybe having meal together!) the relatives. The farm system looks similar to that of SoS, and apparently the edit function is still there. Though I wish the maker sheds (if we have to build them again) can take less space. With 3 towns maybe more festivals are available! And I wish to know more about how the mining works. Hopefully the shipping bin comes back :D

For all the people wanting older bachelors no worries, I bet the next Westown bachelor will be a prospector named Old Joe with a great big bushy beard looking for GOLD in them there mountains!!!

I want to see an Annie Oakley-like bachelorette personally. And a Zorro-like for the bachelors but that's unlikely

As much as I like Kamil and Licorice and how they were handled in SoS, I'd rather we go back to magical marriage candidates. Even returning magical marriage candidates would be fine, so long as the returning characters aren't regular candidates. Like Leia for example, we've got a beach and (maybe) a mine again; bring her or Keira back!

We could also use a new wizard bachelor to complement the handheld Witch Princess. The minerals in Wes Town could be intriguing to magical people.

Ah, man. I'd love a mermaid/merman marriage candidate. I never realized beaches were being phased out from the series until someone pointed it out on the forums a few weeks ago (Icy?? Was that you)) Although poor Leia was cooped up in some poor scientist's house.

The comparison to SoS vendors is a good point... I wonder if it will be tied in like that loosely somehow.

I would looooove to have magical bachelor(ette)s back. It's actually one of the first things I said on that thread on XSeed's forums ages ago about what we wanted in the next BokuMono game. As was said, maybe Leia, or maybe a merman this time or something? (Darn it people said it as I was writing my post!!) Would work in the tropical town perhaps. Obviously I love WP (and Leia and Kira and Oracle etc) but we've definitely had fewer actually magical guys than girls.

It'd also be cool if we got someone who was more based on Japanese folklore. Like the Crane Wife/Daughter from the fables or someone like that. I really, really doubt we will but hey I can dream.

But seriously you all beat me to merman comment ;-; guess great minds think alike

Im hoping it'll be more interesting.As much as I've tried with Story of Seasons,it was very difficult to get into for me.A magical bachelor candidate would definitely help,but I hope the game is more in-deep with dialogues and story development or something else that makes the game stand out in depth.

I would be totally cool with this, a Harvest King, or they could even bring back my Wizzy. A dark skinned merman would be just lovely.

Anyways, guess I'm late to the party

I am really all about Wayne's design and what little we've heard of him. I am weak to dem eyebrows, dem eyebrows on fleek. I'm pretty interested in seeing the specifics of his personality in game.

I like the FeMC's design too, might change her eyes when I get the chance, but everything else looks good to me. It's also interesting that the two mc's have a different personality, but I wonder if they'll stick with making it ambiguous in game as per usual, or if it'll be a little more obvious this time around.

Fingers crossed to bring back real mining and YAAAAAAAY, we're not apparently orphans this time around!
