But yes really hoping for the HK to make a return too. I would really rather not have another Witch Princess though. As much as I like her and I liked Witchie instead, I feel like they've really over-used her.

I'm not saying we have the same Witch Princess; I think she's overused too with being in 5 games and being marriageable in all of them. If we have a different Witch/Wizard variant then I'd be up for it, but they should retire the teddy bear obsessed Witch for a while.

To be fair, they're not really calling it a "Western Town," it's Wes Town, and the description is a Country Town.

FeMC & MC different personalities

I agree that they've generally had different personalities, but it's pretty subtle since they all have to be blank slates to some extent. I don't think this will necessarily affect same-« Chicken Hugging » marriage potential, because if they would have to adapt the cutscenes anyway (for pronoun usage in English or -kun/-chan in Japanese or whatever). That said, I'm not expecting same-« Chicken Hugging » marriage yet in this game. I think they're more likely to try this in Rune Factory, which has been catering to an older audience for a while now.

Bachelor/ette potentials

My ideal would be 1 male/1 female candidate from each town and 1-2 sets of magical candidates. I think 5 bachelor/ettes was perfect, and six is spreading them thin. Honestly, it might be even better if they axed it all the way down to 3 really in-depth candidates per « Chicken Hugging ». But yeah, Harvest King would be an exciting bonus bachelor. ...or maybe Kappa?!

Also, seems like people are forgetting Witch/Wizard from AP. It would be nice to see them again.

It's not that people are forgetting about them; someone here said they'd love to see the Wizard from AP again. To me, the console Bokumono games and the handheld Bokumono games are set in different universes. That's why I think we have different Witch Princesses and Harvest Goddesses between all of the games and honestly if I want Wizard from AP to return I want him to return in a console Bokumono game instead of a handheld game. I can't see him or AP's Harvest King in the 3DS's graphics and I don't think they would fit in the handheld Bokumono's universe.

And if a Harvest King is to appear in game he may be the one the Harvest Goddess in DS Cute mentioned and he's bald. Oh well, bald people can still be hot.

Yeah I don't really see gay marriage showing up in this game as much as it'd be appreciated. The personalities thing seems more like "this will make it easier for you to do X, but harder to do Y" sort of deal. Since it wouldn't really make sense for them to write out and give the MC's a personality and then say "Oh but it's customizable you can change it". But that's just my opinion. We won't know for sure obviously for a while.

Also a few people have mentioned Wizzy! I'd love for my second husband to make a return. He was total bae material.

I mean, (M)FoMT is clearly the same as BTN, and DS(Cute) is set in sort of that world plus AWL in the future... but Witch Princess from handheld originated in DS, right? And the Goddess from 64 is the same Goddess in (M)FoMT, BTN, DS(Cute), IoH/SI, MLS, ToTT, and 3DS? Plus, 64!Elli and 64!Gray appear in ToT... so we can't even isolate that world from the rest... I think the Witches are really the only ones who are handheld/console isolates.

On baldness: my real life husband shaves his head and is the hottest, 10/10 will marry if we get a bald/shaved head candidate.

id rather see 5 or 6 than three of each gender just because... that's not a lot of variety and some of the bachelor/ettes have been in questionable tastes before lol. with only three we'll either get 3 bland stereotypes or fly to the other extreme and they'll be too quirky

Tbh I also miss the horse races and chicken festival from M/FoMT. You actually play to win (iygwim) and winning isn't purely on the animals' affection for you.

Speaking of which!!! Since dogs are highlighted a lot and there's a beach in this game... can we hope that the dog festival (also from M/FoMT hehe) will be back? #BringBackDogFrisbee2016

but yes, horse races! in particular i liked the one in MM, where you would pick up vegetables along the way for your horse. the little minigame type things.

Here's some further insight: When BtN was made, it was completely different than 64 and yet the same characters were in there, but their personalities and families changed. The creator then stated that BtN is a separate universe from 64. A theory I've had for a while is that Elli and Grey from ToT are the same Elli and Grey from 64 and my only explanation for this is that Grey is a animal handler instead of a blacksmith.

The Goddess in 64, BtN and (M)FoMT was pretty...rude? It's not the word I want to use, but it's the only word I can think of. Maybe regal? I'm not really sure. That particular Goddess stayed in the handheld series of the game and was made MUCH more bubbly and became the TA DAAAAA! Goddess we're familiar with. That particular design of the Goddess stayed with the handheld games and the console games were changed to a more regal and (sometimes) selfish Goddess in the case of STH and HoLV.

The Witch Princesses I don't really have a theory on. The only proof I can show that they are different is their appearance, AP's Witch lack of teddy bear obsessed-ness and we get to know the Witch Princess's real name in AP. Maybe a theory is that the Witches in the handheld universe are obsessed with certain animals like how Witchie loves frogs and the Witch Princess loves bears and yet the AP Witch Princess doesn't have an animal obsession?

I agree with you. I really haven't been on board the "less is more" train for awhile, because having less characters doesn't automatically mean the characters are going to be fleshed out more and better written.

AP is my favorite game in the series and had 20, RF4 had 12 total, and I loved SoS which also had 12. I'm pretty content at 6/gender personally.

For returning characters from ANB, I'm going to guess Neil/Allen or Felicity/Yuri. Gut feeling says Neil and Felicity as well, but I guess we'll see.
