How can I get Angela to break up with me

I keep giving her gifts she hates and at first it worked in lowering her heart level, but now it's increasing it. Please help.

You can also try showing the ring and/or blue feather to other villagers to lower her heart level. You'll be able to trigger the break-up scene once Angela is in purple flower (or less) and have ignored her for 31 days (this includes participating in festivals)
