Hopefully it's on regular time, my patience is wearing thin. We still have little information about what the plot is and are missing what some would call fundamental villagers.

The game comes out in less than two months, so it's not really all that long of a wait anymore.
I think last week's Famitsu might have been combined for that week and this week, so we might not get information until next week because of the holiday. We'll see tomorrow if there are any previews.
Edit: Yeah, pretty sure it'll be next week.

It IS boring in the meanwhile, but...
The game is out in only 7 weeks. Sooner or later we're going to have LOADS of information, and long before we can actually get the game ourselves. So it might even be for the best (for me anyway) if the information comes out more slowly, to keep me interested longer. Plus I'm pretty sure at least 2 or 3 people within this forum will be buying the Japanese version of the game, so we can find out first hand about some of this really quite soon.
I can't decide if I'll disappear then, or not. Some things I like to know in advance, but I don't want the whole game spoiled for me...I like to at least play the beginning with a sense of discovery intact. I just want to know about all of the bachelors/ettes and the overall story plot and after that...I don't know how much more I want to find out.

That's exactly how I feel. I'm aware that the game is coming out very soon in Japan. I just want to know the marriageable candidates and the plot so I can decide whether or not to waste money on this one. Buying games isn't something my parents let me do often and I have a limited income thanks to them.

I'll be buying the game no matter what, even if I suspect I'll hate it. I like to support the series. But I don't have the allowance issue to contend with, so it's not quite the same.
I do want to know who the last candidates are, and about the story...but I don't mind waiting. We've got many months to wait until we can get the game in English. It make it very dead on the forum, though. There's only so much to discuss, pre-game. Hopefully they'll have a nice BIG reveal with whatever comes out next...something fun. (Like the promise of 9/9 candidates instead of 6/6. I'll forgive them for any lag in news if they do that, lol.)

Since I can't read Japanese, I don't mind being spoilered ahead of time, it'll be good to learn about the game before we get it in English.

Edit:
I hope unlocking certain things won't be as difficult as Sos, seeing that I need a lot more wood to unlock Ice country....so much wood!

I quiet frankly like to spoil myself rotten with info. Even though I read everything I can ahead of time, I still manage to find little bits and pieces that I find surprising. Like I can read it all I want but until I see it for myself in game, some info can missing from what I've read or I can perceive it in a different way
Also I agree with Shan. Less demanding stuff!!!

It wouldn't be so bad if the mentioned requirement would be a bit more simpler...other than gather the 1000000 wood/grass/whatever. And that's just in seedling mode.

I'm exactly the same way. There's a huge difference for me between book learning (reading about stuff all the way up to watching other people play) and playing something myself. I only seem to really understand and remember things once I've done them myself.
Less demanding, I'm not a fan of. Exactly as demanding, but less grindy and with clearer instructions provided by the actual game? That I'm a fan of. I don't mind having to ship a thousand dishes or a variety of dishes (ex 10 different salads, soups, etc), but asking me to flat out ship 10,000 cooked dishes is cruel. Oh, and I had to look that up online, because the game never tells you how many of anything you need to ship to unlock the final two vendors. ANB, for the few flaws it had, provided detailed checklists every time you needed to get to the next stage. I missed that in SoS.

No, there's no exact list but they do have this....

This comment encapsulates many of my feelings. If you're going to give us large, tedious goals, make it clear how to complete them. I don't mind stashing away hundreds of items as collecting has always been a part of the series, but don't just have us collect things without telling us how much we need or explaining why we need it. I'll probably end up getting the game because, as many have said, reading and doing something are different experiences and I'm always going to make up my own story anyways. Having a base to go off of is nice though, even if I will set up my own goals eventually.

Spoiler:
I'm going to spoiler this since it relates a ton more to SoS than Three Towns (my previous post being like a "I hope they change or tweak these features that might return" post, or hopefully it was seen that way.)
Spoiler:
My whole point is that the game never tells you how much you have to ship, or of what categories. I feel like you're sort of making a bit of a different argument here? Sure, SoS keeps track of things for you, but having to ship in such huge numbers (by the way, these are undisclosed numbers, you have to go somewhere else to find out the actual game goals) and then, since the way it counts is just awful (why no running grand total, game?), you also have to do extensive math by hand or calculator or spreadsheet to even know if you're getting close?
The whole system is off putting, and this is from someone who has a collected binder (the now-infamous Harvest Moon Bible) of hand-and-PC crafted/printed game data for tons of the games in this series. In other words, I consider doing tracking of game data outside of the games themselves to be necessary (even pleasurable), but I also feel like SoS takes it way too far.
I still like this game better than many, many other recent BokuMono games (every Nintendo Handheld game since the FoMT games have been varying degrees of uninteresting until ANB & SoS to me), but the things that are broken about SoS are really good and broke. Like, FUBAR levels sometimes. Ask me about how Veronica can't count to 30 in my Boy File Cartridge sometime!
High five, OctavieKnite!

Yeah, I hate this system. Like you said you need to do the math yourself and it's really annoying.

New info should be here soon, I can't wait.

Can we really get spoiled on a HM/SoS game ? I don't think there is much of a scenario... To me all I can get spoiled about is the characters events and enventually death.
The story is pretty much always "do this thing to save the town", I hope it would change ! We don't have any ifo about the magical aspects of the game except the twins, hope there will be a good surprise !
