So the little sister's name is Linné. She has a bright personality, but she also has a side that's slightly selfish. She seems to have been lonely after separating from the protagonist.
The mother's name is Marina。
The father's name is Darius.

Wow, the MC's family is actually in the game? That's a first. (Well, it is for me, anyway.) That's cool. And it's the first time I've seen a guy in a suit and tie in the game, too.
They do look very momish and dadish. And Linné is a pretty name.
I like a few of the constructions they show...but I really dislike how they're all on pedestal disk things, which makes them look like giant collectible figurines or something rather than blending in with the environment. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's this part:

EDIT: So is this likely to be our last info dump? If so, they didn't save the best for last, gotta say. This has a few interesting things but it's not as good as when they reveal a candidate or a gameplay change.
Oh, and is this about house upgrades? That's what it looks like it might be. I sure hope they let us upgrade our house to a non-western style...I really can't stand things like antlers/horns for decoration, nor wagon wheels:

I totally agree about the construction and the weird discs that they're on. I do really like the house upgrades though!
The MC's family seems really cool but I'm hoping that their features change along with the MC. Just even having appearances set by the skin tones would be great. It will be a huge disappointment if the family looks the same regardless of what the main character looks like

oh my « Harvest Goddess », this is so awesome.
Observations:
- You can write letters back and forth with your family over the course of the game
- Your sister, Linne, is cheerful and a little self-centered. She's sad that you are leaving them. Your mom, Marina, was raised pretty rich and doesn't really understand the ways of the world too well, but is kind and always cheers you on. Your dad, Darius, works in international trade, is forthright, and a little severe. Is he opposed to you starting a farm??
- Second page has a lot of information on different power circles -- e.g., makes your water go farther, ups honey quality, speeds up time on you farm, lowers animal stress, ups animal affection...
- Reverse-proposal confirmed
- Confirmed that you can ride your horse between villages

^ Wait, so your family isn't going to be in one of the towns and you can't interact with them normally? You have to write letters to them? That's a bummer. It's still nice that we're getting a full family, but I would have liked it better if you could interact with them outside of letters. Maybe they'll move into one of the towns after you complete the storyline? (If there is one.) That'd be neat.

Well in this scan we see them with the MC in-person, I assume they'll be able to visit, or there will be certain story events that bring them to the village(s)
I guess I also just don't see a point in them taking the effort to make portraits for them if you're not going to be able to interact with them more than once. If you did, they could easily get away with treating them like regular npc's/faceless villagers.

Be nice if they came to some festivals.
Linné is super cute, too. They've put a lot of cute kids into this game. Actually, there seems to be an amazing load of villagers of all kinds, this time.
EDIT: Look, your plaid is genetic, lol. You inherited it from both parents... Poor little Linné couldn't be saved, either.

The picture above the one showing the MC's little sister looks, to me, like they're dropping off the MC to live their new life on the farm (HM SNES has a short, little scene at the beginning showing your parents saying goodbye to you as you go off to start your new life. So I'm thinking it's something like that.) The picture with the little sister, however, makes her look like she's a villager you can interact with normally, which is one of the things that made me think the family were going to be villagers, or something, that you'd be able to talk to at any time. But then there's stuff like "your little sister is sad that you're leaving them," which you wouldn't really be doing if they lived close by. And then there's this:XxWizardxMollyxX14 wrote:Well in this scan we see them with the MC in-person, I assume they'll be able to visit, or there will be certain story events that bring them to the village(s)

which, to me, makes it sound like a lot of the interaction with your family is just going to be through letters. Them being involved in story events, though, does sound very likely, IMO, so I hope that's the case and that they'll move in somewhere after you beat the storyline. You can write letters back and forth with your family over the course of the game
Found an answer to my question...I think. This image is on the official (Japanese) game site:Kikki wrote: Oh, and is this about house upgrades? That's what it looks like it might be. So it looks like we can choose to build a house that isn't western, which I should have expected. However, what's surprising is...that doesn't look like the largest house, it looks like only one upgrade. Does that mean that we can choose the style of our house right from the first upgrade rather than having to wait until the last upgrade to choose an exterior style? If true, I'd love that.
EDIT: Your family had better at least be there for your wedding. Hopefully for the birth of your kid, too.
