Wait do you have to give someone the bouquet before you can see their 10 heart event?

^Is the bouquet basically the proposal item? Just wondering since I haven't gotten to that point yet-
I think it'd be neat for "DLC" marriage candidates to be considered in the future. We all know how poplar Shane is and we should definitely consider someone like Emily. We can go all out as weird as the Harvest Moon "secret" candidates like maybe even considering someone like the Wizard
The fact that this game is easily moddable is a gift

You do have to give the bouquet in order to see the 10 heart events. You can gift it to multiple people, but basically it's saying that you are in a relationship or "dating", there is a mermaid pendant that is provided to a candidate when you are ready to marry them.

If a mod is in a .rar file, how can I properly insert it into my game? Everything always works fine for the .xnb downloads, but the .rar files seem to act differently. Can anyone help?
I'm honestly so in love with this game i've already devoted so much time to it

^ I haven't tried out modding yet (I'm trying so hard to love Harvey's moustache), but I'm sure someone else will have an answer for you!
I put a spring onion in the potluck soup and he said it was disgusting. :[ I thought it would add a nice mellow flavour but oKAY.
I AM SO BAD AT FISHING.

@anon I believe rar. files are similar to 7zip files and need to be extracted before they can be used properly, copying and pasting them directly doesn't usually work (my experience from downloading several dozens of mods over the years), you can save the folder wherever and then extract it using free programs like zipeg then place the files where instructed. Also always double check that the mod you're using doesn't require other mods to make it work. Hope this helps!
Me too, I got the mod that makes catching fish easier until I've got it down to a finer point cause it's frustrating, I feel it should have been a keyboard button to reel rather than the mousexD

Yeah, like Lili said, you need to extract the .rar file with something like winzip/winrar/7zip/etc. Then you'll get the .xnb files after you unzip them to insert into your game.
I LOVE fishing. I'm seriously addicted to it. It has a bit of a learning curve, but it's amazing. Make sure you click and HOLD the mouse button to make the bar rise, and let the button go when it falls. Click-hold-click-hold is better for control than clicking furiously.
Also make sure to upgrade your rod when you can, add bait, and eat the soup that Willy has for sale if you're having trouble. That +1 fishing helps out a lot when you're first starting and it's pretty cheap.

Yeah literally just after I posted that, I had like...a fishing BREAKTHROUGH. I tried holding down the mouse button instead of clicking and omg yes so much easier. And I think I'm getting better at it. I just learned how to make bait so I think I'm starting to become a trained fisherman~

yay! <3 Yeah fishing could do with a better tutorial imo to help people not get so frustrated with it. Just a few extra lines about clicking to hold would probably help a lot.

just as a note to everyone, you can apparently only get the mermaid pendant if it's raining or storming and since it doesn't rain or storm in winter..... no winter weddings for you!

Yeah, pretty sure it's in summer. Doesn't take long to get there at least!
So I'm restarting for the 3rd time. My 2nd file got RNG screwed for rain so it was like..hard mode. I always go to the mines on rainy days so it really screwed up my groove. I backed up my save files, and then tested it out by sleeping every day and my file didn't get a single day of rain until summer, and then I only got like 2 days of rain there in none in fall. It seems like weather is determined when you start your file, so I made a new file, tested it, and got plenty of rain. Soooo I deleted my other one, lol.
edit: That interactive farm planner is amaaaazing. I need to utilize this for my new file :O

I think future updates need to address construction sensitivity towards like wall detection etc - like it's very sensitive and will not let me place something down just because an area has tilled soil yet it wouldn't tell me if I'm too close to a wall/or if something might block access to it (ex
this person ran into this issue). I think it should work like how in Animal Crossing New Leaf if you construct a project over some elements it will just override and you'd lose those items but it's very clear of what limits it has when it comes to the proximity of other things that might get in the way/cause problems.
