If you put them out first thing in the morning they'll eat grass instead.
Don't put them out on blowy days as well as the more obvious rainy days it annoys them.
Thanks for letting me know. The auto-feed system is actually really well implemented. :)

Thank goodness for mods.

I'd been looking into this game, but the portrait art was really holding me back. Found a mod that replaces the bachelor/bachelorette portraits with anime-styled ones and now I bought the game. Looking to dig into it tonight.

I, for one, am looking forward to the cleavage mod. :P

Hopefully they'll do the guys too! Pecs galore!

Yes! I am using the anime mods as well, just waiting on the rest of the portraits before I marry (keen on Sam but interested on how his anime portrait looks).

Am I the only one who finds Maru completely uninteresting? Like compared to everyone else I don't have as strong as a motivation to want to befriend/woo her.

And it's pretty interesting how the children are actually difficult to befriend. But it makes sense in the context of stranger danger I suppose?

Huge difficulty curve in the mine after level 80+

I have to say I went from level 1 to 80 without a problem, the weapons/gear you get on the way seem to do you justice. But once I hit floor 81-85, 85 being the deepest I've reached so far man the difficulty sky rocketed. When I mean sky rocketed I mean literally sky rocketed, everything else felt pretty much like a breeze in the mine until that point. I've died twice between 81-85 for example while dying zero times from 1-80.

Really the difficulty to me wouldn't be an issue but it seems like you lose random gear/items when you get defeated... so much so it literally makes me want to close to desktop and reload once I lost my favorite weapon which was one I found so I can not get another one like it. lol

It sky rockets again once you hit the Skull Caverns too. Everything hits soooo hard.

Fuggit about Sam, his daddy's the cute one.

im shallow but appearance wise she really does looks bland, it feels like CA had a hard time rendering curly hair in his current style (i don't blame him, it's hella hard) and made her hair straight

i bet she'd look great if hair was like her dad's, something natural and long maybe

I mean her old art has her looking this,

but I chose not to mod back into it like some of the other characters out of preference as I do think her current appearance is fine. But even personality-wise out of the dialogue she says so far I personally haven't found her interesting imo! She's essentially supposed to be a quiet-type character but she seems too straightforward and that makes her ...boring I guess?

You have all these other characters who are like angst!!!/sad life/sad fam/tears but meanwhile she's just ~*quirky*~/ n o r m a l

I mean I did have her first event (with your interactions with Demetrius) and I thought that was interesting but it seems like ultimately there is nothing else out of that down the line?

Maru is one of my favorite girls, lol. She's sweet and super smart, and I like the relationship she has with her father. I do like her old appearance more, but didn't mod it as I'm pretty much used to it by now.

Though I actually feel that way about Harvey. He's just incredibly boring to me and does not appeal to me whatsoever, even after seeing his later events.

Tbh none of the guys are really appealing to me atm. I'm sure they'll become more interesting as I get to know them more, so I'm kind of casually wooing all of them, but eh. I'm not rushing to get married anyway since I've heard there are still some bugs in that general area that need to be smoothed out. There's soooo much to do, so I'm not bothered.

I quite like Maru! I loooove Demetrius. How dare he be married.

I recommended the game to my brother saying 'it feels like the Harvest Moon sequel we always dreamed of when we were little' and he's looked it up and is really excited by it ahh <3

I don't know if adoption is faster than pregnancy in this game, but I got a baby super quickly. There's unique dialogue about the adoption instead of generic "yay we're having a baby" dialogue, which is nice. Otherwise I'm very excited for any possible updates to expand post-marriage life because my family is pretty much just cute furniture at this point.

Yeah, I didn't personally have issues in the regular mines (had Neptune's Glaive most of it, though) but the Skull Caverns stress me out a little. The flying green dragon things are the worst, I just turn around and leave immediately if more than two of them are swarming me.

My only suggestion for the mines would be to play veeery safely. Bring lots of food. Get in a few hits, run when enemy closes in on you, repeat. I spent most of my time avoiding enemies in the later levels and just smashing rocks for stairs, only fighting if absolutely necessary. If you power through to level 90 you'll get something to make your life a lot easier!

Right? I wanted to like him the most but ended up liking him the least. :/

Awww D: That sucks. I always hate when the character you like the most ends up last on your list, lol.

Luckily I ended up liking Seb the most and he was my fav going into it, but like Panda said, marriage feels pretty unfinished and glitchy (I saved a backup file and then tested it out for fun to see what it was like) so I'm definitely in no hurry. Lots of other stuff to keep me occupied at least!

I guess I'm lucky that I still love the new Bokumonos that are coming out, but I do have to say it's been really nice to go "back to basics" with this game.
