Yeah from what I've seen from people already playing post-marriage have been experiencing things like their spouses disappearing/going off-sceen -I mean thankfully there is nothing of sort of rival marriages coded in (yet) so I can take all the time especially since it's been hinted that there will be DLC marriages anyway (Shane etc).

I mean you really have to hand it to some indie developers who go out of the way to make their art tho especially on a budget to not be able to pay an artist -I think ConcernedApe is very aware of his skill level when it comes to actual drawing and his openness and support for mods shows he's totally coo with the criticism
I mean versus other indie games like Touhou or Higurashi where they're at a point where they have a huge fandom/been established enough it's interesting how said developers still refuse any art help offered on their games besides the remakes/ports/spin-offs when a big publisher acquires it and has the right to do whatever
guess which side is drawn by the original developer of the respective series

I agree with Elliott's portrait looking better before, but he still looks fine to me
Out of curiosity, do mods make the game lag ?
Also, do you guys all play on pretty fast computers ?
I can't download it on a my mac, but I still have a ~4-5 years old Toshiba Laptop that can handle the Sims 3. Wonder if it could handle Stardew Valley. This game looks so fun, it reminds of the old HM ;_;

Yeah, I have nothing but love for CA's work and honestly I think a lot of the art is personally pretty good? Just personal preference for a few of them that I wanted differently. I'm more of a bishounen-lover, so the mods work well for me on characters like Elliott. Which are technically all done by CA anyways since they are his old portraits, lol. He's done an amazing job doing it all by himself, that's for sure.
I'm just glad he's so cool with mods. I wouldn't use them if he wasn't fond of them himself.
@Autumn - this game can pretty much run on a toaster so I think you'll be fine. If you buy it on steam, you can refund your money if it doesn't end up working for you. My computer is like 5 years old and it runs perfectly on it. The customization mods to change portraits and whatnot don't make the game lag at all, as it's basically replacing the old files with new ones. Not sure about any of the other actual gameplay mods though.

yeah i dont think his art is necessarily bad? just not really my kind of style and since there's mods out there anyway, why not use them.
as far as marriage being glitchy, i can say that once sam popped out of bed when i walked into the house, walked through the wall, saw me and went back to bed. lmfao. there's also the spring dance issue but thats not huge imo? i just danced with haley since he wouldnt dance with me lmfao

Yeah the mods should have little to impact at all as they are merely replacing the files already there and tend to be components of just things like image files and what not. But so far I've only used a few cosmetic mods, not ones that actually add on or change gameplay? Like I'm aware there's some mods that do things like change up the fishing mini-game a bit or change/add the soundtrack.
