So I recently went back to this game after leaving it for a few months and it's just as addictive as it was when I left it
I'm in late fall of year 1. Usually in HM games I'm really strategic and hone in on the chosen bachelor/ette immediately but in this game I'm just taking it slow and focusing more on my farming empire. I actually have the most hearts with Demetrius lol. I can't recall the last time I had more hearts with someone I wasn't wooing (Demetrius is cool though, and I tend to pass by him a lot on the way to the mines which is probably why.). In recent HM games I just tend to forget the regular villagers altogether.
and "The Mac and Linux version of the game are still in the works, and should be ready very soon!"
Wow, those are such great news! Unfortunately I don't have any of these consoles, however I can't wait for the game to come out for Mac Hopefully 'very soon' is this summer.

Thanks for the info on the controller, Meri! I think I'll have to look into getting one then. (Also btw I saw your sig and I think I remember you from your old account, so hi )
Does anyone know what weapon precision is btw? Or have tips for delving into the mines deeper?
I am struggling to get low enough in the mines for iron (due to the enemies/combat, I'm really bad at it), but I want to make sprinklers and it seems like my two options are get low enough in the mines or mine enough to transmute copper, which I imagine won't happen anytime soon, as I'm only mining level 2 and it feels like 4 is really far off...
Thank you!
Edit: Nevermind on the mine thing. I bought a sword to replace my club from the Adventurer's Guild and it has made a world of a difference. I'm now on level 30.

You're welcome! (Hi~ XD)
I generally bring the cherry bombs with me, once I can make them. They're wonderful for working the mine.

Yeah they can be useful.
Speaking of the mine, has anyone found a mod that can disable the enemies in it? I know it would take out a large part of the game, but I just really dislike enemies in this sort of game, so I'd love to know if there is a peaceful mod out there. I certainly can't find any, sadly.

We don't have an ETA for that, right? Or multiplayer?

Thought this was a pretty amusing story about my time at the Feast of the Winterstar
Spoiler:
The way the festival works is basically like a Secret Santa kinda thing. I had to give my present to Clint which kinda sucked since he's only okay and I wanted it to be one of the people in town that I could marry. He seemed to have a pretty meh reaction which made me a little annoyed (like damn I wasted money giving you this corn you could at least be a little more grateful -___-) But I was pretty curious about who my secret Santa was...
And after a little while Elliott comes out of the shadows and I'm like "woot" since we're already friends and I have two hearts with him at this point. But then he gives my gift:
"You got a glow ring!"
And I'm like:
"Uhhhhhh...this relationship is moving a lot faster than I thought it was"
My sister said: "Well congrats, you're married now."
What made me laugh even harder was what Elliot said afterwards: "It's not much, but I hope you like it!"
It's actually a great item since your character basically becomes a living torch which is perfect for getting through the mines and doing stuff at night.
It's just funny because between this and his totally-not-subtle "I'm gonna write a book for you" in his first heart event he seemed to be coming on pretty strong lmao
Just got through my first year, and considering how dull Winter usually is I was actually pretty busy. Helps that I got the Greenhouse early on in Winter.
I just realized that you can't move buildings without tearing them down and building another one which really sucks.
@Melody Muse: I haven't seen any but I think I would appreciate that mod for enemies. I'm such a wimp lol, it really doesn't take very many of them coming out of the darkness for me to NOPE the heck out of there. And no there's no timetable for either of those to come out iirc.

Thanks guys! Always good to check. And Beedle, if I find a mod or manage to make one I will let you know. Im trying to mess around with the files as Id hope it'd be fairly easy to change tue values to but not having much luck with finding programs to open and read the xmf files without issue atm. (You can tell I've only made a few mods in my life before haha.)
Tbh this game reminds me a lot of HM DS, moreso than other HMs due to the farmlayout/monsters in the mines and how the community builds farm planners and stuff.
Which HM/SoS does SV remind you of?

Soooo I'll probably be getting SV on the Steam sale and was just wondering if there are any anime mods around that change the appearance of all characters, not only the marriage candidates? I've seen some of the latter and man they are beautiful, but I can't imagine having only 10 people in a whole different style and the rest with the default look, seems too jarring.
Sorry if it's a stupid question; I'm honestly amazed how ConcernedApe did the portraits, they're very very good, especially for someone who's technically not an artist, it's just I'm too much of a weeb okay i'm sorry
