...And I am so confused.

Why did I name a chicken Bacon? Why did I plant like 10 trees next to my house? Who was I romancing? What was I even doing?

I wish there was some sort of "THIS IS WHAT YOU DID LAST" journal in this. I don't remember there being one, but I wish there was because I am so incredibly lost.

I think everyone who has played the game experienced this at least once. lol

It would be neat for them to have a feature like that, but I have no clue how they could do that with a HM game without being SUPER specific. I guess if you know you're not gonna pick it up for a while you can just jot it down in a memo or something.

I usually have a schedule based on the day of the week or number on the calendar or something like that, so if I get back to a game after a long hiatus and can't remember what my specific goals are, I at least know what I'd normally be doing until I start remembering stuff. In Story of Seasons in particular, I go to the Safari on even days and forage around the mountain etc on odd days, so even if I don't remember, for example, if I was trying to collect materials for a specific outfit, I'm not just running around like a chicken with its head cut off until I remember or come up with new goals.

The Game Memo feature built into the system is super helpful for stuff like this and is also probably the most unfairly neglected thing you can do on the entire 3DS family systems.

I had a very specific daily routine for this game. Probably why I stopped playing (burn out from having to use every second of every day), but it does make it easier to fall back in.

Totally winging it thus far.

I came back at the end of winter year 1, so luckily it wasn't mid-season and there was less to go "WHAT WAS I DOING WITH CROPS?" about, haha. Not that I would have had that problem... Apparently I had decided to just grow flax for winter. A really, really lot of flax. I foresee financial stability while i fumble through spring y2 and get back into the swing of things. lol

Unfortunately, I'm the type of person that puts a game down at the end of the day, and then might not touch it for months/years/ever again without even wondering why. Whoops!

1. Bacon and Eggs, obviously ;)

2. I had the exact same problem when I went on hiatus for a couple months. It took some days of stumbling around, messing up productivity before I was back into the swing of things.

3. Sounds like you picked pretty much the ideal time to stop playing, the end of the season AND the end of the year. Good luck and welcome back :)

The worst part is my other chicken is named Sunny. Sunny side up eggs and bacon. My chickens are breakfast puns.

I literally stood there and turned over a stack of flax one by one into golden linen cloth for like, a day. Since then, I have planted nothing but strawberries, bahaha. I'm horrible at being productive in this game. I'm just like "money? check. RUN AROUND AND WONDER WHAT TO DO".

I have a chicken named Omelet. Let's be friends :P
Really though, what else is there to this game other than raising crops and animals and making $$$? Unless you're going for the postcards (please don't). You can work on unlocking the rest of the countries too, of course! And track down your favourite boy. (I'm assuming it's a boy from your signature.)

Productivity is overrated. :v
