Investing in animals

Right now I'm at half-winter in year 1. Since most things go their own way I've been looking into sewing clothes and at the same time looking forward to the upcoming new animals in year 2. Since you need a different kind of wool for many outfits. I however noticed not thát many pieces of clothing use rabbit hair. And I've been raising two angora rabbits since they were available. So I'm considering to sell one. I'm asking your thoughts on this first since it would be a bummer if I end up thinking: "I shouldn't have sold it". :shifty:

I also own 2 sheep and plan to invest in 2 suffolk sheep and 2 lama's. That should bring in enough wool to get (almost) all clothes crafted for the time being. I also own 2 cows since the beginning and I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to invest in a jersey cow. Far as I know they give different milk, but it is not specificity required for anything.

Your thoughts on these issues?

Actually, it's okay to have two of each animal, including the angora rabbit because you might want to take one to the Safari for it to produce rabbit fur+. +Products aren't tradeable and can't substitute for the normal product. So if you want to make outfits that would require cloth+, it would be useful to have animals that produce it.

As for the jersey cow, I own two and like you said, they don't really give anything specific; except that their jersey milk ships for more.

I have two of each atm and like what Pachi said, you might want to take some of them to the Safari so you can get +Products for certain things.

The normal & plus/golden variation of animal products cannot substitute for each other for vendor requests. If you want to do the requests you should keep at least 1 animal that produces normal products, since vendors never request plus/golden animal products. Jersey milks have no difference to normal milks for recipes & cooking, though for requests & price they are different.

Since you can only keep 2 rabbits inside one coop, you can do as Pachi & Shan mentioned, to have one of them going to Safari to produce the rabbit fur + :)

Never thought about + products. So having full-hearts isn't always a good thing I guess. Are there ways to keep the hearts low, without causing too mush stress?

Should I also keep normal milk and normal eggs around?

Plus/golden products only happen if you take your animals to safari over 100 hours (or a low chance associated with their personality). As for the personality bonus, it does not happen every day, plus it only has a chance to occur at higher affection level.

Higher affection level helps with higher star rank of the products and festival win chance. So I don't think you need to keep it low :)

For eggs/milks, you can keep some normal variation if you need to complete vendor requests. They never request plus/golden variation so it's better to keep one animal producing normal products to fulfill the requests.
