Safari doesn't help with hearts, is only against already existing stress.
Got 2 Angora Rabbit, bought same day, both active personality. I took both outside of the coop. Then went to safari. The Rabbit that stayed outside on the farm gained half a heart. The one at the safari gained stress, like I kept it indoor to long...(was on Safari 3 hours, so it was in coop again and had 3 hours less of outside time)
But somehow I believe, the safari doesn't even count for outside-herding-hours for that day, would explain the stress-gain.

Safari helps with both increasing affection & reducing stress, and the effect is much better than farm grazing, since the affection point increase for safari is added every 1 hour being in safari, while that for farm grazing is added every 2 hour. Safari also reduces lots of stress (-100 stress points) compared to farm grazing, so I don't think safari causes your rabbit to be stress. So far I have only seen Araucana chickens gaining stress when being inside, other animals are doing fine with daily care of talking, brushing and feeding :)

If your rabbit still stress, you can wand it when being in multiplayer mode, or give it an animal medicine.
