I won the last cooking contest with my sweet potato salad. This gave me the bronze brand for all my salads. This Spring I'd like to participate in the harvest event with a turnip. If I were to win, will my Turnip Salad brand increase even more or will it stay at bronze? Since all crop-related products will increase on winning.

I tried that too, but the brand didn't increase. It seems like cooking and vesture/products are entirely different brand-wise.

The brand does not increase. The sell price does.

The brand is for the vegetable and that brand on it does increase all sell prices from products you make out of it. That does not mean you will see a silver brand on the cooked dish now. No. Just that the price you sell it for is higher than when it was just a bronze brand.

Turnips alone are a food. Turnip Salad is a dish.

Entering a turnip will increase the vegetable's brand.

The dish brand will not change.

Also, if you enter the three course meal of the cooking festival, you can up multiple food dishes at a time. SO worth the effort.
