Trailer was pretty good, but CHRIST that woman's voice. Like...just too much. Like, I understand that they're main demographic is probably younger players, but imo I think they put it a little too far and it sounded like they were aiming at like...10 years old and younger kids. Like, there is nothing wrong with a all-age friendly game/ads/whatnot, but imo that was something straight out of Nick Jr. or something.

Otherwise, game seems to be a massive improvement. Still not crazy how it's basically a LOT of the past TLV characters (except marriage candidates, I guess?) cause I think they'd do a lot better actually putting more individual characters versus rehashing old ones (also, it's basically an improved TLV which kind of goes in the same category "more new things."

Still, lots of improvements. Models look much better. Environment looks better but still a little too... boxy, and simplistic for me? Also certain characters models could use some improvement (like Garrett's).

I doubt I'll get it cause it still doesn't look to be my kind of thing, but glad they're stepping it up, quality wise.

This game looks awesome! I can't wait for it to come out! I'm excited that they're bring back Doc he was one of my favorite characters. When I seen the Harvesting animation I was a little nervous because I thought it would be as slow as The Lost Valley, but this is looking miles better. Hopefully they'll improve on this much more in the future, because I think they found there strong point in what they want to call Harvest Moon.

they're definitely moving the in the right direction. that trailer looked a thousand times more fun than TLV. honestly, i was really interested in the terraforming idea... but the rest of the writing and gameplay, blech. takes more than a gimmick.

the main character girl is really cute!! i actually think the character models look pretty good. also that donkey <3

The narration was cringeworthy but I doubt I'm part of the demographic it was targeting

And yeah after TLV I learned to stay so far away from Tumblr about it. I mean I can't look up SoS or TLV info without encountering people coming up saying nasty things about Natsume and Harvest Moon and stuff but Tumblr is the absolute worst about it by far.

Honestly the amount of venom about not being able to just post venom confounds me.

Hmm. Looks like what I wanted TLV/SoM to be, so I'll definitely give it a shot! It looks like whatever development team is finding their own voice with this game, finally!

Like, I'm doubting the annoyingly genki narrator voice will be in the actual game, which MIGHT be a "no-buy" for me otherwise, but everything else looks interesting.

I just saw the trailer from the IGN youtube channel and it made me sad to see the majority of comments saying that the Harvest Moon franchise is dead now and that it looks terrible. The trailer has shown a lot of improvements from TLV like actually having a town and the characters models look way better so that's a good thing, but there is still the annoying minecrafting and I also spotted a lot of repeat characters from TLV. If this was a new franchise put out by Natsume under a new name, it would probably be received better but as a game under the HM brand, it just doesn't cut it for me.

CeeCee just confirmed that the animation *is* a tiny bit faster (and they're still working on it), and that there will be the option to harvest multiple crops at once by default (without any tool upgrades), covering up to a 3*3 area.

and im glad i choose to not open harvest moon tag on tumblr lol, my friend said they flaming natsume for manipulate people with "Harvest Moon" without knowing "Story of Seasons" and i dont like it when somone said that

You might not like it but not everyone is spreading lies and hate in a rude manner, Natsume does not acknowledge the Bokumono series at all and some people don't like that. It's not fair to group everyone who points out the difference together. Believe it or not, but there's still a lot of people who are confused by the change, don't realize why it happened, or which series is the original.

It's ok to inform the confused ones, but there's also this "pocket" of people in the fandom who have decided their mission in life is making sure they inform anyone and everyone about how Natsume's games are complete and utter unredeemable shovelware. Created purely by evil corporate greed trying to tarnish the name of Marvelous. (And that the modern SoS games made by Marvelous are perfect pieces of digital art, that the series never got stale before the switch.)

And believe me, thats as big a lie as saying Natsume did every other game in the series.

Also, it's been two years. Not being able to read about Natsume's games without finding ten thousand PSAs about how they're "not harvest moon" gets very very tiring.
