I think Getaris was just joking about how the game would butcher Neil's original personality, based on what we were saying about how Kamil and Licorice were in SoS (as opposed to how they were in their native game. ToTT?)

Though in truth, Kamil's 'Ciao, babe,' was adorably unexpected and it actually made me like him more, in an odd way. But then, I didn't have time to form any attachment to him in ToTT since I couldn't get interested in that game and never made it past about day 11 or so. (It had lots of virtues, but I started with ANB and I can't play the games in a series backwards because the degradation of graphics quality turns me off just that much. I was only able to play AP because the series was on a whole different system and so looked completely different.)

My complaint with Kamil in SoS was that he seemed really boring. Anyway, I doubt that any returnees are coming but it's not yet guaranteed that none are since they never seem to show up before several seasons have passed anyway. (Or rarely.) Anything could still happen. I'm content with how things are, though, so whatever happens now is probably fine with me.

if you think Kamil was boring in SoS, he was even worse in ToTT imo.

question about the maple trees: to harvest the maple syrup, was it confirmed you'd cut it down with the ax, or would there be a tapper mechanism as in SDV

I hope you tap them. You can't actually get sap from cutting down a maple tree, and it's a waste.

But I'm not 100% clear on this...is this a foraging item (maple sap) or a field crop? It must be a field crop, right?

While I do recognize that that was a joke, it reminds me that my favourite potential magical candidate would likely have to be a dryad. While typically they are only portrayed as female, I see no reason why they can't come in both types, since trees come in both male and female varieties.

Ha ha, if that ever came true, you could almost think of it as romancing your own crops. I don't even know where to go with that.

No, but they turn off when you leave the house. I was going in and out of the house, and each time I left the lamp light was off when I went back inside. I had to it on every time I went back inside.

There were actually multiple Mr.Red Coats at the shop stall in Westown, so it is just a faceless villager outfit.

Yes, we were there at the time. We were all hovering around the booth because we knew it was going to happen at a specific time, but we didn't want to give away that we were waiting for it. When Logan finally asked it was in an out-of-the way area of the booth, and then we all ran over and cheered.

I'll finally be able to focus more time on actual farming than foraging.

That is good news. Trio seems like it's going to require a lot of constructions since you need them to create the 'power circles' to improve your crops in the various ways.
