The paddies are very pretty, or were in the quick shot I saw there. :)

EDIT: I was surprised about the 30% more text thing too, but I think I was surprised in a different direction. We have the most number of villagers ever, I think...more than 30% more than SoS...so 30% more text actually seems like too little, to me. (A vast amount for them to work on, but not that much for it to be everything that so many characters have to say.)

That was the one detail that actually made me feel a wee bit worried. Not that I'm panicking or anything, but it made it sound to me like maybe they would have given all the villagers less to say than in SoS, which since I always want everyone to have even more to say to me, less repeating the same things over and over...well, it just grabbed my attention.

Of course, we have no way of knowing where all the text in the game will be dispersed, so I'm just not going to think in depth about it at this point and get myself all worried with baseless speculation. It's a huge load of work for them to do, in any case. SoS was a lot of work and obviously this one is even more.

so... returning marriage candidates is confirmed not in game?

Anyway thanks for the info cher! im surprised XSeed already translate a few lines of the game, its kinda quick

and im happy with the new system, the barn+coop came with fence, so i dont have to re-do my farm like in ANB/SoS to make my farm look nice lol, i dont have to spend a lot of woods/iron to make fence lol

also the square rigid! thank you marvelous, and xseed :)

Well, it's confirmed that Mr. Red Coat is NOT Neil...but that's all we have an absolute answer to, that we know of. Anything could still happen, though the likelihood of there being any returnees is decreasing.

Those tiny barns with one animal each in them are adorable, but a bit confusing to me. What would be the advantage in having a barn with only one animal in it? I need to look that bit up again because I think maybe I got it wrong.

I wonder how Cherubae enjoyed the look and feel of the game, now that she got to hold it in her hands for a while. :)

I haven't seen anything confirm it yet. I've only seen a tweet confirm that Neil isn't returning. The calendar we saw was from Fall of year one. Since Kamil didn't arrive until Spring of year 2, there is still possibility for secret return characters. Didn't somebody say in the big thread that some return characters weren't announed before the game released? In any event we'll find out soon as the game willl be releasing in a week.

The game looks great! Although I'm a bit disappointed with how close the towns are to each other. I was expecting them to be farther apart with a mountain or small forest separating them, as they are in very different environments.

i like the music in the tropical town. the character runs weird, though

also, i haven't really been following the general info thread, so maybe this is old news i'm late to the train on, but they seemed to have a lot of hearts. is there a way to permanently increase your stamina, or do you just have a lot of hearts?

The video actually confuses me at 0:41 he runs up int the second half of the farm and without opening his bag/using some kind of item he is suddenly in Tsukyasa? So does that mean there are fast travel field ornaments or something?

Either way I'm glad someone got some additional footage, even though I'm irked that he just derped around without doing much of anything lol

There are fast-travel points between the villages where you just have to pay money to be transported, I believe it was.

Remember, the game they are showcasing is fully in Japanese and the players may not be too familiar with the genre like we are. Gotta give them a little slack :)

After catching up on all of this new info, I'm amazed at how much effort the developers are putting into all of the little details of the game. I'm super stoked to experience all of the cultural differences between the towns. Having so many villagers to interact with, and not to mention the increase in dialogue and opportunities to befriend them (like sitting down to meals with them), should definitely make the game feel really alive.

I'm actually hoping that they leave some details of the game a surprise. If we're all this excited now, imagine what it would be like to be playing the game and then suddenly have a new character (or maybe even a marriage candidate?) show up out of the blue. It makes me anticipate the release of the game even more, just to hear about what the Japanese players will find out when they get to play. I wish it was us too, but it sounds like XSeed is really getting the jump on localizing the game. Let's hope they do it as well and as quickly as possible! :lala:

This game looks lovely!

Can't Xseed just create some new mythical potion that localize games in a day? lololol. Seriously though, I would so import this is Nintendo didn't add stupid region lock to the 3DS. T_T

Why am I so happy that we can eat at the table with people instead of having to watch them eat on the side??? Aaaah I'm so excited for this, it'll make the MCs feel like they're part of the town instead of just the incoming "chosen one"

Yeah, that little tidbit was so natural, yet so surprising. Someone wondered if maybe we would only be invited to eat once we reached a certain FP level (which would make sense) and if it would add FP to share a meal...I'm interested in both issues. Well, whatever it is, it seems fun. I wonder how it'll work, when normally the characters spend 2 hours eating. (I wouldn't want to spend 2 game hours at it, lol.) Very interested in how that will play out, anyway.

I read that you can choose to concentrate on one town or another, if you like, in shipping more to them and so on to boost their prosperity and unlock things in that town in the process, so that's another thing I'm interested in knowing more about. (But that'll probably come when I actually play.)
