Yaaaah great news ! I was hoping for dlc bachelor/ette too !
I don't have a favorite bchelorette yet, I was hesitating between Kasumi and Iluka, but maybe the Host could be nice too ! Even if the constant mic on the portrait kind of annoys me...
Woofio was a very mysterious character too, I hope his events will be insteresting too !

That's nice to know, even if I am afraid that marrying them would just be like marrying Gourmet in MFOMT (also kinda suspect that it will even require winning all legendary rank competitions or something)...
I just want to get myself a pink-haired son or daughter
Still gonna try wooing them though.
Also, here are some screens for the new DLC outfits and new story, if anyone interested.
I've honestly been expecting this to happen and be officially announced since RainThunder leaked all the marriage art cards back in the first week of the game coming out. I like the attempt to keep the super-secret candidates secret, but putting that data in the launch version torpedoed the attempt.
Maybe they'll make other characters marriage bait that we don't know about yet, though. In my dreams. I'd do almost anything for Saffron, tbh. Like, I felt a crushing pain of disappointment when I saw her in SoS1 for the first time because we haven't been able to marry contest judges in many moons. Not since Sunshine Islands in 2008 if I recall correctly. And that was a character with a permanent residence, not one of the special "secret character" cases, which usually have harder requirements to get married. Historically, it is extra hard to woo judges, because they only show up "X" number of times/hours per year, like Gourmet from More Friends of Mineral Town. We'll finally get to see how the team led by Hashimoto will handle this kind of special case, which is exciting for me!
I've been calling Hostess/Chairperson "EmCee" instead of MC, since people call the Main Character "MC" or "FeMC", but who knows how XSEED will localize that one. Compère? Hopefully these not-so-secret candidates have secret "real" names that they reveal to the player as they are being courted, like the supernatural candidates from Animal Parade.
(For people that don't know, EmCee is a very common English abbreviation for "Master of Ceremonies". It is commonly written as EmCee instead of M.C. thanks to pop culture, specifically hip hop.)
Wow that's awesome that Woofio and the pink haired MC are marriage candidates. One of the very few things that makes me feel glad localization takes so long is that all the updates will already be included in the game when it releases in English. I also wish it was Saffron instead that was a marriage candidate though, that would have been amazing . i don't think they will be able to have kids but I just hope they can somehow at least stay with you all year round...
Would laugh my « Mr.Gourmet's hat » off if Woofio is revealed to actually be Neil's alter ego. Great joke candidate but I wonder what is under that costume, if anything. Could be kinda spooky.
But are they going to give the announcer a name? I wonder how you would get events with them since Woofio only appears in cutscenes and the announcer can only be talked to on festival days.
Saffron is not a future option sadly as she is already married

I did not know that, thank you for the information! Was this included in a game or is it side info from one of the supplemental books? I don't remember her mentioning it in SoS1.
Really, I'm not one to chase after married people and I get frustrated when people persist even when the game makes it clear that they're not interested (for any reason), so if I would have had any knowledge of this, I wouldn't even have mentioned it.
I'm really not surprised that we're getting dlc candidates and honestly, I love it! This is definitely, in my opinion, one of the best SoS/HM games to come out in a while. I'm very excited for this one to release, unlike the last two games where I really didn't give a « Puppy Doodoo ». I hope this pattern can be kept up in the future for more SoS games.
I wonder if we'll ever get to see Woofio's face, or if it's forever going to be a mystery... what if Woofio was actually this major hot bishounen?? I would find that pretty hilarious, especially if he chooses to keep on with the costume, rofl.
Hm, I didn't know that about Saffron. She is a very attractive character so I could see why people would be disappointed that she's already taken. I hope we get bachelorettes along her style in future installments.

Ah, thank you! It was not mentioned in SoS1 to my knowledge, so that's why I had a "wha?!" reaction at first. Good to know it is 3oT characters who provide that detail, for my silly conscious if nothing else.
