from what i've seen, yes they are gender locked. but i don't know if that is something you can change later on in the game or not?Crystal Power wrote:I'm not sure if it's mentioned yet, but are the facial features still gender locked? I never understood why everything else is unisex except for the faces, it doesn't really hinder me but I wonder if they still are.

Okay, the emcee I can see--she's actually adorable--but...WOOFIO?
I mean, unless we see him without that costume on at some point....erm, that's just kind of weird. Go Furries?
(Side note: first playthrough, Ford. Second playthrough: Woofio, because a) I bet it will be REALLY challenging and b) it's actually just super super funny)

If I remember correctly Woofio was a pretty popular character, and many people wanted to know more about him !
It is really nice that we have dlcs, it is a very good way to change things the fans don't really like, and add more features. The only bad point is that it could delay the production of the next game XD

Mmmm dreaming? So Woofie is actually an awesome candidate? That's pretty garoovy.
Natsume has also done DLC marriage candidates with their game, which turned out to be rather popular. Hopefully Woofio and Emcee are *free* candidates, but I can also see Marv making it available for $2 or so.
Has the 1.1 update patch fixed some of the bugs in the game? The ones I've had aren't game breaking, but yet they're still a bit annoying when I experience them
Not sure if it is a bug or not, but the one where my crop stats reset to 0% when I pick a crop up off the ground after trying to feed it to a wild animal is rather bothersome. Or when I try to pick up whatever my item-collecting pets have and there's nothing actually there (my character just grabs empty air and holds it above her head). Or while treasure hunting the pet gets stuck against a wall and I've to exit the area to bring the pet back to my side. Or when I enter my barn and all I see is my large cow because the other animals are piled up under it, then they all pop out
Or when the store cut scenes trigger in Lulukoko, but all it does is show a black screen and then back to my character.
(Trying to reset my time zone/jet lag, so apologizes if I make little sense. Been awake for 26 hours so far and becoming a little loopy

Wait, there's a patch? I was playing last night and didn't get prompted to get a patch! Do you have to go into the eshop to pick it up? That should be challenging, since I don't read Japanese at all...
(And speaking of not reading Japanese, I am almost done with summer year one, have the first house upgrade and have since early spring...and I just figured out where the recipes are. Derp. Totally failed the cooking contest because of course I found it AFTER that. Ooops. I also thought the RIGHT hand field opened up first, and had the new field open and sitting abandoned for at least a full season before I discovered it XD.)

it's pretty easy to get your animals to produce a ton of product each day with treats/feed combination. i have two cows both at 20 milk a day, and then winning festivals nets you more profit too. it takes a little bit to get started but once you do you're balling.
anyway i dont think money is that much of an issue in this game (at least on easy idk about veteran)

If you already have a kitchen and milk maker, then I 'd warmly recommend turning your cheese into baked cheese for both profits and cooking experience.Anonymous Fish wrote:Do any of you who imported have any money tips? Like how in SoS easy money could be made with flax
Bronze rank 5 stars milk sells for 369G each while 5 stars bronze rank baked cheese sells for 1509 each iirc, which means a profit for over 1000G for each shipped baked cheese. I'm in Veteran mode, btw, so some price difference may happen as I heard precious gems sells for more money in Novice mode?
Also, feeding your animals treats/fodder that would increase their product numbers will be very useful in long terms. Like now (mid Spring 2nd year), I could harvest around 30-35 milk (i saved all gold milk i could get some days) from my 2 cows and it cost me only 720G/day to feed them both, in comparison to over 40k profits I can get by selling baked cheese.

I gotta stop reading this board. I'm not buying a region locked 3DS and this game in Japanese (even though I speak it fluently, can't read the kanji) but everytime I start reading your posts, I WANT THE GAME.
Okay, will stop freaking out now. Sorry. Have fun! Guess I'll wait til US release. /big sigh =)
