In Lulukoko village, on the ground.
It's actually a little bush-tree right next to Ludus' shop. The two bushes produce Vanilla every few days. You just have to look for the sparkles when it is ready to harvest. There's also a set that produces Breadfruit in the northwest corner, and a set that produces Avocado in the southeast corner.

What does Ford, the doctor, like? Not his favorite gift, unless it's easy to get. But what does he like? Anyone know?

Sessy's guide lists his and the other bachelors' liked and disliked gifts! I don't have the game, so I can't comment on the easiness of the gifts, but if 3OT is like SoS where you can find herbs fairly easily in the wild, I'd say they may be your best bet, aside from vegetables and eggs.

How do I trigger Ludus's heart events? I can't seem to trigger any of them.

Also, how does dating/marriage work in this game? What are the requirements?

What are Ford's(the doctor) events? I have him at a purple flower.

For both candidates, you have to see their friendship events first. After that you can start to trigger their flower events.

Ludus friend 1 = Lulukoko north in the Inn, Thu or Sun, 13:00 to 17:00
Ludus friend 2 = Lulukoko south to Lulukoko north, not Thu or Sun, 12:00 to 14:00

Ford friend 1 = Westown Garden Grill, Sat or Sun, 11:00 to 13:00
Ford friend 2 = Westown Garden Grill, any day, 8:00 to 11:00

Thanks. Also, I'm sure someone's already asked and answered this, but how do you get a hammer?

You've to upgrade your house to the level 2 (run-down beginner house -> level 1 -> level 2) before Ludus will give you a hammer.

Thanks. And in Ford's friend events, which choices are the right one? lol

Option 2 are best for his two friend events, although it doesn't matter too much. You can always increase friendship points back up in the case of a negative choice.

Okay, random thoughts so far:

-Ack, cannot choose between Yudzuki and Ford. They are both so adorable. Yudzuki is so fluffy~
-I love the amount of festivals, their variety, and the way they are conducted. These are so much fun.
-The Shiba Inu. Perfection.
-Farm circles. I like them for ease of use and immediacy, but I kinda feel like they mess with the overall feel and look of the farm? Like, the maker sheds in SoS were just building-y enough and also cute enough. But it's just so awkward with this like GIANT bag of fertilizer or HUGE FLOWER MACHINE just planted on my lawn.
-Each of the towns has so much personality, I love them all. I'm rushing between all of them all day long to see what's happening there. All the characters are so rich and fun.
-It is taking for-fricken'-ever to get my animals' ranks above E. I've been using the regular treats, and recently updated to the special feed too. Still, almost done with autumn and no change. What do??
-Oh my goodness, am I the only one who loves the idea of Wayne and Lisette as a pairing?
-Grid farm. Hm. Having to run to Ludus' shop every time I want a new field. Hm.
-OUTFITS. They are goood and there are so many of them and they aren't as much of a pain in the butt to get.

There are several qualities - friendship, stress, health, number of products (quantity), animal product quality (plus), animal fur, and physical size (physique). The Sweet Fodder affects the number of products (max 20), the Spicy Fodder affects the fur, while the Best Fodder affects the chances of the animal producing plus quality. Best Fodder can only be made using the animal feed maker shed farm circle thing.

I'm not sure what "special feed" and "regular treats" you mean, but you are probably raising qualities that you aren't anticipating.

Moist Treats (しっとり) = +10 friendship
Plump Treats (ふっくら) = +3 physique (this is animal physical size. 100 points is a really big animal)
Smooth Treats (なめらか) = +10 fur
Crispy Treats (サクサク) = +10 quality
Puffy Treats (もっちり) = +10 quantity

I've found the easiest thing to do was to build the Chicken King farm circle, which increases quality just by placing it by a barn. It seems to be faster than giving treats. It unlocks after you have completed Farm Advice #2.

Animal natures actually affect how long certain traits (quality/quantity/etc) take to raise.

There's some info about it here

Ooh! I'm glad to have finally found an English-speaking community for this game!
Is it OK to ask if anyone wants to exchange friend codes and help each other out?

Also! I have a few questions. One being; has anyone married Inari-chama? I know that you can't have children with them and they don't live with you (sob), but are there other perks to marrying them? Like new dialogue and stuff.
I haven't even managed to trigger any of their romantic events, assuming they aren't just a myth. I know of raising the wild foxes affection... but I don't know what their favourite foods are... I've just been throwing some random nuts I find around at them... well, I guess they like it?

And, where do I get tofu? (yes, it is totally so I can make inarizushi). Do any shops sell it (I'm at B, B, C rank, respectively!) or do I have to make it myself?
